Possible Identities of "Speaker":
- Damon Lindelof - It has been suggested that the identity of Speaker is really Lindelof.
- This is a reference to a running gag on the Official 'Lost' Podcast which Lindelof co-hosts. In addition, in his week 9 round-up he makes a joke (hopefully) about Rachel Blake following Mittelwerk in her "talking car."
- Speaker's response to the his "Damonimity" was: "Why do you people keep calling me Damon? I'm... Speaker! I really don't see the resemblance! I mean - his glasses are black with clear lenses while mine are totally white! He has a mouth and nose and eyes while I have NONE of those things!" (http://www.insidetheexperience.com/2006/05/reader_mail_3.html)
- In Javier Grillo-Marxuach's Ask Javi show, Javi claims that Damon Lindelof is Speaker [1].
- Speaker has stated repeatedly that he is not Damon Lindelof. It is possible the Lindelof silhouette was used as Speaker's avatar to divert attention from his true identity.
- In a Yahoo chat, Speaker revealed the famous shadow picture was a stock image. It's origins are unknown.
- Speaker has stated repeatedly that he is not Damon Lindelof. It is possible the Lindelof silhouette was used as Speaker's avatar to divert attention from his true identity.
- A comment made in one of Speaker's post seems to further suggest this:
I swear, Damon and Carlton need to write a Sawyer and Jack buddy comedy - they could be detectives or something and drive that talking car they're so fond of.
- Javier Grillo-Marxuach (aka Javi Minion) - This may not be true as Speaker has revealed his birthdate to be June 8. The birthdate of Javier Grillo-Marxauch is October 28. It is unknown whether or not June 8 is Speaker's actual birthday, or just one he picked to throw people off.
- On Javier's Notes from the Experience LiveJournal, he posts "no, I am not Speaker."
