Possible Identities of "Speaker":

Comparison of Lindelof's silhouette to the Speaker's.
Comparison of Lindelof's silhouette to the Speaker's.
  • Damon Lindelof - It has been suggested that the identity of Speaker is really Lindelof.
    • This is a reference to a running gag on the Official 'Lost' Podcast which Lindelof co-hosts. In addition, in his week 9 round-up he makes a joke (hopefully) about Rachel Blake following Mittelwerk in her "talking car."
    • Speaker's response to the his "Damonimity" was: "Why do you people keep calling me Damon? I'm... Speaker! I really don't see the resemblance! I mean - his glasses are black with clear lenses while mine are totally white! He has a mouth and nose and eyes while I have NONE of those things!" (http://www.insidetheexperience.com/2006/05/reader_mail_3.html)
    • In Javier Grillo-Marxuach's Ask Javi show, Javi claims that Damon Lindelof is Speaker [1].
      • Speaker has stated repeatedly that he is not Damon Lindelof. It is possible the Lindelof silhouette was used as Speaker's avatar to divert attention from his true identity.
        • In a Yahoo chat, Speaker revealed the famous shadow picture was a stock image. It's origins are unknown.
    • A comment made in one of Speaker's post seems to further suggest this:
I swear, Damon and Carlton need to write a Sawyer and Jack buddy
comedy - they could be detectives or something and drive that
talking car they're so fond of.
