Please do not use my talk page just to say sorry. If you are sorry just keep out of my way there is no need to waste any space or anyone's time on something as meaningless as that and you won't get an apology in return in fact I'll laught at you. ^_^

Sorry to be a bother, but you should put a link up to your past archive as a refernce for users. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 16:39, 1 March 2007 (PST)

If you're going to delete and archive you DO need to provide links to your archive. I added a box for you on top. You are welcome to change the style or just provide some basic links on top, but something has to be here.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 09:53, 4 March 2007 (PST)
  • Princess, I'm not going to have an edit war over this. It doesn't matter why, it only matter that you do. Like jabr said, something has to be there. --Marik7772003 10:18, 4 March 2007 (PST)
  • I do not see why you are so vehemently opposed to this. All we are asking is for you to put a small archive box to alert users to where your previous talk is. I cannot see any reason as to why you keep deleting this, as it is just a simple code which tells people where the previous talk is. You may want an explanation why, and it is to tell people where the previous talk is. --Marik7772003 10:27, 4 March 2007 (PST)

It can go there most definately but only when I am shown proof that it needs to be. Princess Dharma (banned)

Princess, I ask you what the problem is with putting a small box at the top of your page with a link to archived talk? Every user who archives his/her chat does it. And we do it because it helps keep track of everything that goes on with the wiki. Talk pages are vital parts of the wiki and we try our hardest to make sure they stay where everyone can find them. You agreed and did make an archive of your talk page to remove that conversation you did not like off of your main page, and to avoid deleting it which got you into trouble numerous times. Not linking to where you archived the page, is almost the same as deleting it, although it is still on the wiki, you have hidden it in a place where no one can find it. I think it is in your best interest just to do this small thing for us as you should know that disagreeing with Sysops and ignoring there wishes is not the smartest thing to do as more times than not it will get you into trouble.-Mr.Leaf 10:43, 4 March 2007 (PST)

Sorry I wouldn't listen to a regular user if they were wrong and so as a SysOp is no better a user than a regular user I shall not listen to them when they are wrong. Want to prove you aren't wrong? Go ahead. Princess Dharma (banned)

I don't want to get into an argument here, so you know what, check out User talk:Mr.Leaf, User talk:Mr. Crabby, User talk:Marik7772003, User talk:PandoraX, Talk:Main Page, User talk:SilvaStorm, to name a few. You can check out as many users pages as you want, anyone who archives a talk links to it. It is common practiced. This is your last warning, please do as we ask, it isn't a big deal. -Mr.Leaf 10:54, 4 March 2007 (PST)
  • Please stop being so argumentative about every little thing, Princess, and concentrate on the content of editing Lostpedia rather than the drama of starting fights with other users for no reason. The archiving of talk pages (and linking) is done for a reason... so that conversations and feedback from other users make sense, and a history of past discussed topics can be referenced. You taking offense or trying to butt heads with every convention we have had on this site is not doing anything constructive for anyone. --PandoraX 11:22, 4 March 2007 (PST)

LP:NPA Warning

I can see how you might not agree with those theories, but please refrain from name calling. This is your second warning in as many days. Please review the LP:NPA policy.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 11:20, 22 February 2007 (PST)

Birmingham

Birmingham is definitely not boring. Well for someone who isn't 18 yet maybe! :D lol  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  12:44, 22 February 2007 (PST)

Oh and by the way, this should be your main talk page, as it will alert you to any messages people including SysOps send you. Can you change it back please.  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  13:02, 22 February 2007 (PST)

It's nothing personal, it's just that this should be your main talk page. Mediawiki has some functionality built-in based on the title of your talk page.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 13:18, 22 February 2007 (PST)

Gone

I thought you left. Did you change your mind? --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 12:04, 28 February 2007 (PST)

  • Well, if you are coming back I would recommend

a) dropping the Locke thing. Locke is NOT gay, and by saying that it doesn't make me or anyone homophobic

b) try not to argue just for the sake or argueing

c) don't blame the SysOps for your problems, it's not their job to adobt to you

Anyway, hope you'll come back and make some constructive edits, once your ban is lifted. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 12:10, 28 February 2007 (PST)

Nah no more edits too dangerous. I'm stricly in talk pages now. Princess Dharma (banned) 13:37, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Re:Talk and Pics

The images unfortunately violate fair use, and so we can't accommodate them on the site as its technically illegal. --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:32, 5 March 2007 (PST)

As for the talk page thing, I haven't been dealing with this, but I assume that it is because a user's talk should be your proper talk page. I don't actually see any logic in making it /main, as this means you are unaware if you get any messages, but as I say that's just my opinion. I don't want to get involved in this area as I didn't protect it --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:34, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Large 800x600 images arranged in a gallery is against fair use unfortunately. As well as this, the argument of "it was never deleted previously" does not apply because it was only just noticed. I understand you'll probably take this as a personal attack, but please understand this is law --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:36, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Well the first problem is easily rectified by using smaller images (image size isn't a big issue though really), the main problem about fair use is that it denies galleries. As you know, we've removed many galleries of images from Lostpedia as it violates fair use, and a montage is similar. The only thing I can suggest is using non-copyrighted images to make a gallery i.e. where fair use won't apply as they're private photos etc --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:45, 5 March 2007 (PST)
Yes Lost-media pics are copyrighted by ABC. I think though you can use a few pics to illustrate a point, but the number you used is in clear violation. User:Plkrtn is the best to ask as he's studied fair use in detail --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:49, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Montages/User Talk

Montages were against fair use. They did not illustrate anything. The User Talk page was moved because I'd asked you in the past to move it back as its a required function of Lostpedia, but you refused to, so I did it for you. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  12:33, 5 March 2007 (PST)

We can only use images that are not our copyright, in United States law, based on the content of the page they appear on. As none of the images illustrated any point, they were against fair use law. Secondly, I haven't restricted your User talk page at all, I've just put it in the proper location. I've not restricted access to your User talk content. Thirdly, I have every right to enforce the wishes of this wiki, which is if you are going to use your User talk page, you use the correct one and don't move it for no apparent reason. Fourthly, this is a completely privately owned and operated wiki. The idea that you have any rights to your user talk is completely incorrect. By that suggestion, if this site were to shut down tomorrow, you could legally enforce the owner of the site to keep it up for access to your user talk, which is frankly, ridiculous. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  12:42, 5 March 2007 (PST)
I've unprotected it, but please... use it for an introduction to your talk archive or something. Don't replace your talk page with it, please! -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  12:49, 5 March 2007 (PST)
  • I could go through userpages and point out many examples of custom images that do not "illustrate" an article that are based on content from Lost. I could easily point out dozens. This looks like a person-specific image deletion to me. Otherwise, lit would be proper to go through and apply it across the entire site. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 15:28, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Ban Banner

For future reference...Bans expire automatically and the banner can be removed by you when you are able to edit again. Hopefully you won't give us cause to ban you again so maybe this won't even be an issue. Keep in mind though that we have been quite lenient with one-day bans and if things escalate they will be longer or permanent (if justified). Also, please sign your talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). That way there is a timestamp left with your comments. Thanks,    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 12:52, 5 March 2007 (PST)

It's not lazy, it's just the way it is. I could really care less if the banner stays up on your page since it identifies you to other editors as someone that requires administrative guidance. The ban auto expires, so you'll need to keep track of it. Here's another helpful hint: When creating new sections on talk pages, please use the + tab next to edit to create the section, or modify the summary line. When you just go to the previous section then add a new section, it still uses the previous section name by default for edit summaries.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 12:58, 5 March 2007 (PST)
  • Why are you trying so hard to be so difficult, PD? No one is "forbidding you to see any rules", and we've tried to explain them to you as patiently as possible as to why we (and many wiki communities) follow these rules. Many of these are also discussed on General usage guide... as well all communities, ignorance of rules is not an excuse for breaking them. We tried to give you warnings before many of these, and you insist that "I'm not going to follow them until someone points them out". When you join any internet community, it's nice to get guidance on the norm (which we've tried to give), but it's also your responsibility as a user to look for and familiarize yourself with the site standards and regs. It's this entitled and argumentative attitude that really isn't helping you make friends or improve the site. --PandoraX 13:18, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Because I want to see these rules set out in a formal format. I don't want somebody just telling me them when they could be making up a load of crap off the top of their head. Princess Dharma (banned)

AA

If you don't want it just don't add it to your page. I'm sure Obi would rather win em fair and square for himself. Also he's been awarded the medal before. Just delete it if you don't want it --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:14, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Your Signature

You have deleted all content from your signature page. Since you have left comments on talk pages using this signature you need to have something there that identifies you, not just a blank page. Do you want your last version restored?    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 13:27, 5 March 2007 (PST)

  • Hey what happened to the Sun Montage image file? -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 15:26, 5 March 2007 (PST)
  • Nvmnd, it turns out it's displaying the montage aspect of it that crosses our interpretation of fair use. Hopefully you're able to live with that, without having to post negative comments on your userpage. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 17:38, 5 March 2007 (PST)

PD. Do you really want another ban? OK, its none of Nokia's business what happened, but as you said trolls aren't welcome on Lostpedia, and you are exhibiting all of the behaviour of one with your provocative and frankly, childish responses. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  00:47, 7 March 2007 (PST)

She should not have stuck her nose in where it was not wanted. Really since when was it any of her business? Asking Mr. Crabby as well really angered me. Foolishness Princess Dharma (banned)

I'm sorry I know it was none of my business but just like plkrtn said you didn't have to tell me in childish responses. Ok thats fine with me because I don't really feel like arguing about this because the only thing that arguing leads to on this site is banning.--Nokia (Talk) (Email) (Contribs) 12:07, 7 March 2007 (PST)

PD enough is enough. Cease and desist with your rude comments to other users. Nokia apologized to you and has asked to put this behind. Unfortunately you can't seem to let things go. • Hey PD, dropping the issue applies to both sides, even if you are repeatedly provoked. If more provocation occurs, that will be dealt with disciplinary actions. However if you respond to the attacks, then you too are subject to such actions. I know it's hard to turn the other cheek, but you know this interaction is already being watched, so trust in the system, and just sit it out please. From our point of view, stoking the flames by posting: "yeah listen to the sysop" doesn't help resolve the issue. I hope that makes sense and is obvious in hindsight, even if it is not immediately satisfying. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 13:36, 7 March 2007 (PST)
Yeah from this point - no more discussion, period. Don't even reply to this message at all. The next person who does reply can get a disciplinary :-) how about that --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:40, 7 March 2007 (PST)

How It Used To Be ...

I miss the old Princess Dharma, the one with the pretty userpage and signature who made brilliant edits to Lostpedia. I understand you may be angry at some decisions made but i would like to see your main user page restored as well as your signature and I would enjoy seeing you making more constructive edits on Lostpedia rather than getting into arguements ( which are not entirely your fault ). DrGiggles 13:46, 7 March 2007 (PST)

Thank you for coming to that decision and I also apologize for any arguements we have had in the past. I can see you may not be in the mood but I would like seeing you edit Lostpedia again like you used too. Thanks for listening. DrGiggles 13:51, 7 March 2007 (PST)

vocabulary

  • It was an attempt at addressing an impolitely topic politely. If you're asking me not to be so polite, here you go: Translation: your use of your angry-sounding emotion (such as your use of "damned" and all caps, and multiple exclamation points ) contributes little to your side of the discussion. In fact these emotional bits is all you have. These emotional bits also detract from both your argument and other people's future opinions of you and your arguments. In short, a more mature and thoughtful method of speaking will do you and your causes better, both in real life, and here in Lostpedia. Contributing to discussions here at Lostpedia with emotion only, rather than clarifying reasons behind an opinion, are therefore a wasted effort that carries no weight, especially because discussions here are not votes. In other words your opinion does not matter, unless you have reasons to explain it to persuade other editors to agree. Futhermore, overstepping the boundaries of Lostpedia's community standards with emotional outbursts or misbehavior is what has led to your past bans; these bans have been intended as warnings to change your behavior, and if no change is made, the warnings have failed. If you need it any more clearly than that, I can't really help. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 13:12, 11 March 2007 (PDT)
