Sig

Hey I think you're currently experiencing a glitch that occurs on Lostpedia with customised signatures. Even though you've, rightly, done a /sig extension on your user, the whole formula is still appearing when you sign on talk pages. To rectify this, simply put {{User:Paladine/sig}} here: User:Paladine/autosig. Then, under your preferences, set your nickname to {{User:Paladine/autosig}}. This should then fix the problem :-) --Nickb123 (Talk) 11:51, 8 October 2006 (PDT)

Yep, fixed! --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:01, 8 October 2006 (PDT)

Transcripts

Hey, Paladine. Please don't take too many liberties with the transcripts (aside from typo correction), as in changing the format and stage cues, etc. Spooky will probably leave a note about this soon, but she has it a certain standard way for a reason, and wants to keep it standardized across sites, and it is a great priviledge to have her countless hours of work transcribing in the first place. I'm probably going to ask for page protection on these pages for that reason, but just dropping you a note. I know you mean well, but I think the transcript pages are a specific case where less editing is better... mostly because as the disclaimer says, the transcripts are "one person's subjective experience of Lost". --PandoraX 21:43, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

Removal of lostblog.net link

Why did you remove the link to Lostblog.net under List of sites > Information? Just because the site is named "The Lost Blog" that doesn't mean that it's more of a blog than many of the other sites listed under Information.

You state that the link was removed because it was a duplicate link. Then what about AndFound.com which is linked under both Information and Blogs? Or Lost-Media which is linked under both Information and Media?

Wouldn't it be better to merge all three lists into Information and remove all the duplicates? If not I expect that you re-insert the link to The Lost Blog under Information because that's where it should be.

Regards, Andreas

Hey Palandine

Hi there, I see that Pan already reverted the scripts back to my original version. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your efforts and enthusiam, and I too, know that you mean well. After doing the transcripts for two seasons and getting lots of feedback, though, I think I've come up with a format that works for the majority of users. It's tough to keep the balance between folks that have already seen the show and just want dialogue, and people who are reading the transcripts before they see the show (many foreign viewers) who need more visual cues; but I think I've come up with something pretty workable for everyone. Plus, I'm trying to keep the transcripts the same on 3 different sites, so lots of changes are too hard to keep up with. Thanks for your attention, though, and keep keeping me on my toes. --Spooky 02:06, 14 October 2006 (PDT)

Thanks

Paladine, I must be smoking crack in my sleep! Of course, you're not the person who changed the transcripts. My sincere apologies for the mixup. --Spooky 07:50, 16 October 2006 (PDT)

Image Categories

Hey, can you add

All images © 2004 - 2006 ABC Television/Touchstone Television Images are categorized for easy reference only. {{Tv-screenshot}}

To the categories for images please. Just keeps us safe from accusations! -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  13:21, 19 October 2006 (PDT)

High Resolution Images

Can you please avoid uploading high resolution images. If you wish to use the image, scale it down using an image manipulation program. Thank you. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  07:36, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

Question

Sorry to bother you, but I wonder if you can help with a problem. I was starting to work on the Hieroglyphs article, nominated for a rewrite, when I noticed that it has a different page form, such that there is no links or ads at all around it..If you are met with this problem too at accessing it, can you please guide me on how to fix it ?

Thanks a lot --NomadOfArabia 21:05, 29 October 2006 (PST)

    • Nevermind, it seems solved now. Thanks--NomadOfArabia 21:44, 29 October 2006 (PST)

The Underworld

Hi paladine. I am currently working on the Hieroglyphs page, in which I found the "Underworld" to be a basic point, so I created the page, labeling it as a stub, aiming to expand on it later today. I was not simply adding the line I had there and leaving :) However, I noticed that you deleted it ? I believe the Underworld is a strong theme in Lost (my openion) which I haven't found a page dedicated for so far. I do not know if the reason for deletion was lack of content (which I was intending to add) or duplication, in which case please point me to the original page, to use in links. I also noticed that some similar themes are currently available, including Redemption with no much content, yet was not deleted...Thanks-- 16:45, 31 October 2006 (PST)

no problem. I'll recreate it tomorrow, and add info on what content to expect on both the main and the talk page. I'll also post here a comment when I do, for empahsis. Now I gtg, c u around-- 17:39, 31 October 2006 (PST)

Reverting Edits

Hello Paladine, I saw that earlier you reverted edits by the guy who was saying that Charlie and Jack were "hot", and that you used the "Reverted edits by _____, restored to last version by ______". My question is, how do you do the automatic revert? Thanks, --Marik7772003 12:32, 2 November 2006 (PST)

Thanks. --Marik7772003 12:49, 2 November 2006 (PST)

It looks like this:

Is this correct? If not, could you give how it is supposed to look? Much appreciated. --Marik7772003 20:42, 2 November 2006 (PST)

New Theory Policy

  • I like your rewrite, it's shorter and to the point. The problem, as always, is getting people who really should be reading it to read it. But at any rate, I agree with what's on there. In the end, I think if theories get moved to their own pages, it'll be hard to enforce any rules, because there won't be as many people interested in keeping the sections clean.. at least that's my personal feeling (I just have minimal to no interest in it myself) --PandoraX 16:33, 12 November 2006 (PST)
