He's not destroying it though, he thinks he is but hey he's retarded. SysOps get this special beefy revert button so they can battle them far quicker than we can. It depends on the context. If they've done 6 vandal edits, by all means just revert it. If its like 60, it can get confusing for when a SysOp arrives for where to begin rollback. If its a quick fix, do it, but otherwise just focus on important pages --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:17, 9 February 2007 (PST)

  • I can, although I'm going to suggest that they be left unprotected. As Once they are locked even you will not be able to edit them, and when you do need to edit them you will need to ask a Sysop to unprotect them for you. Just making sure you understand that.   • Yeah, I'd agree with MrLeaf... if there's a problem with vandalism, let us know, but otherwise it's not necessary and will cause yourself problems later. We ordinarily just protect pages that are at high risk for vandalism. --PandoraX 12:00, 24 February 2007 (PST)
  • On Second thought, as much as I agree you will never need to edit that page it is more an ease of use issue for both the Sysops and you. If for some strange reason something changes with how sigs are configured (as it has before) it would need to be unprotected by a Sysop. However the bigger issue is that if I protect this for you then we have to for anyone else who wants to, and it then becomes a bigger issue, with Sysops spending all their time protecting and unprotecting user pages and subpages. So at the moment I don't really see any reason to protect the page, if it becomes a problem with vandalism or anything then for sure we will protect it but at the moment I think it's best just left the way it is.-Mr.Leaf 12:03, 24 February 2007 (PST)

K to clarify - when vandal strikes, if they've done loads and loads of edits, just focus on edits they've made to important articles, and leave the majority of stuff to SysOps. If they make only a few vandal edits, and its a quick fix, then by all means sort it yourself and just leave a SysOp a message reporting the user. The vandal known as bob is a special case, which I think I've explained to you before. If not, I can email you and explain why, or tell you on IRC. At any rate, in HIS case, you can just revert as much as you can and it won't affect a SysOp's work, if you get me. Categorising Images

Hey good job on that, I started once upon a time but haven't found the time to work on it. Just in case you weren't aware Category:Images has all the different cats for the images in it and Special:Uncategorizedimages is a great place to start categorizing if you want.   • When editing your /*.css page, the preview button should let you see immediately how the changes affect your configuration, without the need to actually save a change. Hey thanks man, I apreciate it. I wouldn't worry too much about the delete nom, there seems to have been a parody "revolution" in a way. Parodies that were not external documentaions were stricly forbidden at first, then just frowned apon, and finally encouraged. (see main article Parodies) But I agree, "realese" it when you feel is ready. Redirect Delete

Hi Mr. Crabby, The reason was included within the argument space in the delete template (directly on the to-be-deleted main page, as it seems superfluous in simple cases to create an additional talk page only to have it also deleted). The reason for the deletion didn't seem to require a more lenghty explanation and seemed self-explanatory, it is the same as with all similar cases of a redirection with a typo. Such redirections not only serve no useful purpose and clutter the site with unnecessary pages, they are actually harmful because they make eventual missplellings of the corresponding words in an article more difficult to spot, and therefore to fix. Fan content

  • Automatic delete-tag labeling of LP articles about fan-content is ill-considered, and seems to have been done (by you) arbitrarily and automatically, rather than for a good reason: If an article may be fixed to conform to NPOV, then that is preferable to deleting the article. I'm sure you're capable of editing content to remove vanity and COI content. If this is in any way unclear to you, please see the WP links I provide in talk:Losted.
