Vandals

Yes, there are step by step instructions on dealing with vandals (and how to revert) here:

Lostpedia:Vandalism. Make sure you inform one of the sysops first, though, if one of us is online. Reverting stuff by hand can cause problems, and we can do it with a one click rollback function other editors don't have, and we can ban him sooner to stop the cycle.--Pandora X 14:47, 4 January 2007 (PST)

Ignore Vandals

Hey, here at lostpedia the best way to deal with a vandal is ignore him. Talking to them and telling them to stop just makes they feel like they are accomplishing something and encourages them to keep going. The best thing to do is notify a Sysop who can ban them and ignore the person —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mr. Leaf (talk • contribs) .

On Spoilerfix

Nah, I think we should just leave it alone for now, because I dn't think it sets a good precedence to have a lot of articles on nonLostcentric sites on our site... since it's lostpedia, not wikipedia. I think we could just leave it and see if someone else nominates it for a merge... if it does merge, it'll probably go into Websites. I do understand what you are saying though, about it being an important site for those who chase Lost spoilers (but LP is not really a spoiler-friendly place, to be honest, since we are canon-focused). --Pandora X 18:33, 5 January 2007 (PST)

Sectionboxes

Hi Mr Crabby, and thanks for your interest in continuing to improve lostpedia, but I'm of the opinion that the songs page doesn't need it; it's already in table form, and quite organized. Sectionboxes tend to serve a different function, for pages with multifield standardized info. I personally think they are overused on lostpedia, because they are often just "flashy" but don't always improve format and usability. But if you'd like to experiment with how to make sectionbox templates, they are basically just modified tables. Redirecting

Hi Mr. Crabby, redirect pages are actually pretty simple. Just create the article name (to create a page, just do a search for that title, then it will tell you it is not found, then click the red link and click the "Edit" tab). Then in the article, simply type #REDIRECT [[Page name you want it redirected to]]. I'm not the zen master, I learned just like you are. :) Oh, and there's a little bit on it here: [2]. Stop reverting

I thought that my talk page was mine just like my userpage. Sides it was only a little title change that affects no-one. Unless you are a title collector. It would be serious then. Very serious. Yeah, left him a msg about it. I rolled it back this time. I guess we sometimes look the other way if people delete their own talk pages (no one likes negative stuff in their comments), but it's really not a practice to condone, and makes it tough to understand future comments. I think if you see it in the future, I'd probably just leave him a note about it. Yeah, I understand, I feel the same way. Technically, we should leave talk pages be (especially in cases of ongoing debatable issues, no one likes their points deleted), but I don't see any reason for people to leave ugly or vandalizing comments on their talk pages; and sometimes we do edit our own comments if there was a misunderstanding (for example, I feel bad about mistaking you for a vandal when we had that IP mixup earlier). One way to get it off your main talk page is simply to just put old stuff on an archive page. You could make User talk:Mr. Crabby/Archive 1, for instance, and stick old comments there, and link back to this page (example on my talk page). Take care. --Pandora X 10:03, 1 February 2007 (PST)

Thanks for the compliment. The voice actors thing is my little project (well not anymore). When I started it there were 5 small lists on 5 separate pages with no articles for the voice actors, and look where we are now. Anyway, thanks.

P.S. I just found this. Funny. It would be better if Bob was smokey though, as he keeps coming back in different forms to destroy what we create. Good job though.
