Time/Date Problem
Sure, I'd really appreciate it if you made that edit for me. :) Vegan T-Rex about me 21:40, 23 February 2008 (PST)
- Even though you got beat to the punch, I appreciate your help. Thanks! Vegan T-Rex about me 12:08, 24 February 2008 (PST)
Transcript
- I wanted to thank you for your really great transcript The Economist-Enhanced transcript, it's very much appreciated! I really like the method of using italicized parentheses to illustrate events in the episode in relation to the captions. Anyways I had one question for you: in this enhanced episode, were the captions ever accompanied by pop-up photos of characters (as we saw in 3x22e), or was it just text captions only? -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 22:21, 23 February 2008 (PST)
- Thanks for the feedback! I can't claim ownership of the italicized parentheses- I based style of the transcript off of User:Jimpoz's 3x22e transcript. There weren't any image pop-ups but I plan to do "Confirmed Dead" next and if there are any in there I will make note of it.--MetallichickX 11:45, 24 February 2008 (PST)
- OK I just saw your "Confirmed Dead-Enhanced" transcript, and it looks like that, too, had no images. Then I'll add text to the enhanced episodes article that only "Through the Looking Glass-Enhanced" had popup images. If you feel like it, you can tackle noting the images in that transcript, otherwise someone will probably get around to it some day. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 19:40, 24 February 2008 (PST)
- Great job on the Eggtown-Enhanced transcript. Keep'm coming =) -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 16:47, 1 March 2008 (PST)
User talk
- I've moved user talk from a different capitalization, presumably also you: User talk:MetallichickX -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 10:38, 24 February 2008 (PST)
- Oh I see now; your sig had the incorrect capitalization in the wiki link itself-- I've corrected that for you in your sig: it still looks the same but now goes to your correct talk page. I've also redirected the incorrect talk page to this page. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 10:42, 24 February 2008 (PST)
- Thank you, I didn't realize that everything was case-sensitive. I'll try to be more careful about that. Also, I've been looking for a page that might explain how to link different things (ie: users, episodes, articles). I found the manual of style, but I'm still really unsure of the difference between brackets and curly brackets, and when it's necessary to use |, and what goes on each side of the | (that's why I'm focusing on transcripts- no linking required). I know you're busy, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!--MetallichickX 11:57, 24 February 2008 (PST)
- No problem, feel free to message My talk page with questions.
- In short, double curly brackets are used for templates, which are custom-written shortcuts for long or frequently-used items.
- Here the | separates information entered into the template. The only templates you might need to consider are the {{ep|...}} or {{crossref|...}} templates. For example if write {{crossref|4x02}} you get: ("Confirmed Dead").
- Double square brackets [[whatever]] are used for wiki links within Lostpedia. So: Confirmed Dead.
- The | makes the link the same, but the text different:
- [[Confirmed Dead|S04 E02]] becomes S04 E02.
- The | makes the link the same, but the text different:
- Single square brackets are used for external URLs. Plain URLs just become numbered refs:
- [http://www.abc.com], [http://www.lost-media.com] become the numbers: [1], [2].
- If you use a space, then it renames it:
- [http://www.abc.com ABC's website] becomes: ABC's website.
- Upper case: Usually you don't have to worry about upper case, unless the case changes in the middle of a word, like MetallichickX vs Metallichickx, or ABC.com vs. abc.com, or abcdef vs. abCdef. Template variable names are also case-sensitive (like the episode infoboxes).

- Thank you so much! If I have anymore questions I'll be sure to put them on your talk page, not mine. That would make more sense, wouldn't it? :) Thanks for all the help!--MetallichickX 19:45, 24 February 2008 (PST)
Congratulations
I am hereby awarding you the Lostpedia Hard Work Medal award for your continuing hard work in transcribing the enhanced episode transcripts. If you wish, you may remove the template from your talk page, and move it to your own main user page:

- I'm so excited! I don't think I've earned it yet, but I plan on doing more enhanced episodes as they air. Thanks for the recognition!--MetallichickX 05:39, 4 March 2008 (PST)
