vandal

hey, can you please block User:Cerberus1 as it is a vandal account. I have reverted the vadlism so far. Thanks-- Dan  talk  contribs  email  10:14, 21 June 2007 (PDT)

 ??

Hey, i tried to add comment on the monster talk page, but everything deleted, can you revert? --EXCALIBUR

Search Engine

Hey jabberwocky, I have a small thing I wish to query. I'm trying to add Lostpedia as a search engine option for Firefox, but when I try to add it I get the error message:

Firefox could not find the search plugin in for: http://en.lostpedia.com/opensearch_desc.php

Is this because the file doesn't exist or because it is named differently or something else? It would be rather handy to have it as a search option. Cheers

Cheers for the link. :-)--J-- 11:28, 4 August 2007 (PDT)

No Featured Article?

Hey, is there a reason there's no featured article on the main page? --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 09:02, 13 August 2007 (PDT)

New Page

Is it possible to add a new page to Lostpedia if you aren't an admin? Ages ago I was wanting to, I can't remember what for now, but I'd still like to know if it can be done. Thanks random2502 08:57, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

Spoiler headline removal

I've updated my proposal to now say to use the magic word to remove edit sections. Therefore I have removed your "no". You may add a yes if you are satisfied. --   Dee4leeds  talk  contribs  all  03:23, 20 August 2007 (PDT)

Help!

I tried to add the 2007 Emmy nominations for Lost on the Awards pages, and I've completely mucked up the table. I added the 2007 ones below the 2006 ones and that mucked up the table, then I accidentally deleted the 2006 ones with the 2007 ones. Sorry :( I didn't mean too. I tried to copy the things exactly but apparently it didn't work.

If there's a way of reverting it, then adding in the stuff I wrote, it would be great if you could do it. Sorry again. --random2502 14:41, 3 September 2007 (PDT)

Help Please

I see you have a personal signiture for your user name. if you could would you please tell me how to do that --Connerxcountry57 13:15, 18 September 2007 (PDT)

Today in Lost History

On the main page, Today in Lost History, is behind a day. Not sure if this falls under your "jurisdiction", but it seems logical to tell you. As I type this, it's 11:29 PM in US Central time zone, meaning nowhere in the world is on the day Sept. 29 (either Sept. 30 or Oct. 1), but today in Lost History is displaying events from Sept. 29. Thought you should know so you can fix it. David 21:30, 30 September 2007 (PDT)

HTML in Lostpedia

Is there a way to embed HTML into a Lostpedia page (i.e a Finetune playlist into my user page)? -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  14:18, 18 October 2007 (PDT)

No, most embed tags will not work. I'm not familiar with finetune.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 21:18, 29 October 2007 (PDT)

"6"

Hello, way back in 2006 you deleted and locked an article for the number 6. This number appears prominently in multiple promos for the upcoming season. Plz consider unlocking this article for future additions. Happywaffle 11:24, 28 January 2008 (PST)

Please submit your request here: Lostpedia:Requests for page protection. Use the section for requesting unprotection. If the reason is only based on Season 4 promos, it may be denied until the season premiere airs since it could be considered a spoiler.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 11:31, 28 January 2008 (PST)

Revision of my image update

When a screenshot it taken, it is necessary to fix the levels. I did this to a photo of Locke and you reverted it. Here is another case:

I don't know about you, but on my CRT monitor I the former image is barely visible, whilst the latter is much brighter and easier to make out. What do you think? --Sloths 11:16, 2 February 2008 (PST)
The original looks fine on my monitor. I don't think we should need to modify images from what was originally broadcast unless we are enhancing a specific cropped image for better detail, such as the one that shows the person on Jacob's rocking chair.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 12:53, 2 February 2008 (PST)
I agree. How does my change look on your monitor, and what kind of monitor is it? Here's what I see; original is on the bottom, color corrected on top. --Sloths 13:52, 2 February 2008 (PST)
It isn't nearly that bad. I think it's time for you to get a new monitor!  :-).    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 09:13, 3 February 2008 (PST)

Vandalism/username

I think you should take a look at User:CoolNigga both for vandalism [1] and for an inappropriate username.--Connor401 09:28, 3 February 2008 (PST)

Done. Thanks.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 09:34, 3 February 2008 (PST)

Need help with my sig.

Whilst getting my feet wet in this Wiki, I decided that I needed a fancy sig here, just as I do at HeroesWiki. Needing one that kinda sorta blends in with ones here, I took the source code for yours to my sandbox at HeroesWiki, modified it with colors that I like plus a few other changes, exported the creation back to here, and tried to use it. Much to my dismay, it malfunctions. Seeking an admin or like person here, I thought you the best person to help me since you made the sig that my desired sig is based on and your bio on the admin list says you are good with that kind of thing. Might you be able to fix it so that it doesn't do what it does now and acts like a sig should? You'll find my sig stuff accessible from my user page (I am using the "autosig" page as my "nickname" in my preferences) --  SacValleyDweller    talk    contribs   22:42, 12 February 2008 (PST)

I fixed a missing /span in your code and it looks ok now. See also Help:Signatures.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 08:26, 13 February 2008 (PST)
Thank You very much! :)--  SacValleyDweller    talk    contribs   13:15, 13 February 2008 (PST)

Collapsible content

Hey, Jab. I was searching on the site to see if there has been any discussion of collapsible content (a la wikipedia) and saw what looks like a couple tests of it in your sandbox. Has there been any discussion of using it on the site? --Minderbinder 14:45, 20 February 2008 (PST)

Upload

can i upload a .zip folder for download ([LOST Countdown]) if so how? {{User:David Gee/autosig}} 07:06, 23 February 2008 (PST)

Hello Jabr

Graft said you might be able to help me on this one.

I am currently doing some remodeling of this article. I am wondering if it is possible to change certain text when someone rolls over an image.

For example, if some one rolled over the image of Ethan Rom, the text below Ethan (that just says Ethan Rom) would change to "Other Man". -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  12:00, 6 March 2008 (PST)

That would take some javascripting. If you develop something feel free to share it.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:41, 6 March 2008 (PST)

Block?

I just noticed someone created an account named Liberalfascist. I personally don't care, but I don't know if Lostpedia has a username appropriate-ness policy, therfore I felt that I should report it to a SysOp. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:41, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

The irony is that it would be fascist to block someone based on that name. I personally don't see an issue with that username. It doesn't have any vulgar words in it.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 19:53, 13 March 2008 (PDT)
Sure. Just wanting to make sure. (After all, some might take issue to it.) --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:55, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

Thumbnails

I asked Graft, but he hasn't answered yet. The thumbnails seem to be acting up. You can see that on this page. What's going on? -- Sam McPherson  T   C 20:00, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

I see the problem. Sadly it's outside of my control. This is likely a problem with permissions on that directory on the web server after the recent upgrade of mediawiki. I have notified Admin.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 20:16, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

Next time on lost

I know we just had the episode, but I noticed earlier that if one is logged out, the next time on lost brick on the user page is incorrect. I sent a message to User:Admin, but he hasnt responded. Here is what i sent him.

"I saw the "Next time on lost" box on the main page. I belive it needs to be updated (On 3/13/08 it says that LOST airs tomorrow, instead of today.) Just letting you know :) --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 11:22, 13 March 2008 (PDT) Post Scriptum: This only occours if one is logged out. If one is logged in, it is correct. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 11:32, 13 March 2008 (PDT)"

I just wanted to let a sysop know. We don't want to confuse visitors here. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 20:20, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

It updates by day, not by day/time. It always lags behind a few hours. Also, keep in mind that the server is in Pacific Time.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 20:23, 13 March 2008 (PDT)
However, I felt I should tell you this, as when I was logged out, it said Tomorrow. When I was logged in, it said today. When i logged out, it was back to tommorrow. This was at about 1500h EST. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 20:31, 13 March 2008 (PDT)
Probably a cache issue. Also, your user profile stores your personal UTC offset.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 20:32, 13 March 2008 (PDT)
Dosent matter now, as it works both logged in and out. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 06:32, 14 March 2008 (PDT)

Template

Hiya, it's just a shortcut that I'm used to. On other wikis (especially Wikipedia), {{-}} is what's routinely used, instead of {{brclear}}, so I'm just used to typing it. When I saw it wasn't here yet, I went ahead and added it. I hope it's not a problem? If there's a technical issue, I can try to train myself to not use it. --Elonka 17:03, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

OK, that's fine. I just didn't want a new redirect made for no good reason.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 18:52, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

Sig

Hi i need some help with my signature, the grey border on the outside, is only meant to go around the ">: David Gee", but instead goes around the entire signature. any ideas?

Re:Img

Nah I don't need it I don't think, I probably uploaded it as it was an alternate shot of the maps, revealing another location than the one we tracked to around Lake Superior. Nothing ever came of the other map though - was probably just another angle of something. Thanks for asking me, I've deleted the pic now. --Nickb123 (Talk) 04:44, 8 April 2008 (PDT)

Sig

Thanks alot for the signature help.   >: David Gee    Communicate   Flashback

Image Thumbs/Image Upload issues?

I uploaded a new version of Image:TempleBG.jpg. Twice. It is still the same as the original. Do you know why the image does not seem to be going through? (I added the word DHARMA to the Temple logo as it is barely visible in cannon shots of it.) Any help would be much appriciated --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 13:14, 8 May 2008 (PDT)

The latest version uploaded does not have the word DHARMA in it, however the version before it does. You should simply revert to the version you want.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:17, 8 May 2008 (PDT)
Thanks Jabr. However, now the old image (without DHARMA) is showing up on the page, while the image with DHARMA is on the image file. What gives? --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:21, 13 May 2008 (PDT)
