Blast door map theory
Hi, I see you are relatively new to Lostpedia; welcome. To let you know, I moved your blast door map theory section from the main article page to the theory tab. The article page is where we keep all the facts and the theory tab is for just that, theories. So just be aware of that in the future; theories are great, but we can't keep them on the main article pages. Thanks. -- Graft talk contributions 06:03, 2 February 2008 (PST)
Vanity/Self-Promotional
- Regarding your edits to LOST Countdown: Although we do allow the creation of articles by editors about their selves or their own work, the qualities of the article may not be inconsistent with those of the rest of this wiki. Very often, articles about fan content that are started by the creators immediately have problematic (from the viewpoint of an encyclopedia) issues of conflict-of-interest (COI), vanity, and self promotion (SPAM); this is a wiki, not a discussion forum. However, if these issues are remedied by other editors, the article itself need not be deleted for the sole reason of who originally created the article, as long as the article conforms to NPOV (Neutral Point of View). I've provided links to similar policies from Wikipedia that we follow in the general sense here at Lostpedia. Continued violation of Lostpedia policy regarding vanity articles, conflict of interest, and self-promotion may result in disciplinary action against your account. Thank you for understanding, and good luck with your application. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 14:20, 5 February 2008 (PST)
Re:Medal of Research
- The awards/medals here were designed by sysops for those users who deserve them. Any user is allowed to give any other user a medal as long as it's within reason. There are a limited number of editors that have them only because we ask people to reserve them for the best. So if another user thinks you deserve the medal he or she is welcome to give it to you (although we discourage "scratching each others backs", which is giving someone an award and them giving you one right back). If you have any more questions let me know. -Mr.Leaf 17:08, 6 February 2008 (PST)
Re:Zip files
Hey, sorry I don't think there is a way for one to upload zip files. You can upload short animated images though under the .gif file, though of course I doubt this is enough for what I'm guessing you want (i.e. a full countdown timer). --Nickb123 (Talk) 11:50, 23 February 2008 (PST)
Autosig
Hi. I noticed that there's some kinda problem with your autosig, I think you have to check the "Raw signatures" box in your preferences page for that to work. -- blacxthornE t c 13:31, 23 March 2008 (PDT)
- Hi. Please note that we only sign talk pages, but not main articles or theory pages. Cheers.--TechNic|talk|conts 04:28, 24 March 2008 (PDT)
- Your sig code contains tags that are not closed. Make sure every <font> and <span> tag are closed properly (with </font> and </span>. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 12:56, 25 March 2008 (PDT)
