I've made you a Sysop
Hi Chris,
Since you've contributed significantly, I've decided to make you a sysop. You'll have the ability to protect/unprotect pages and make edits to the homepage. Thanks!

Thanks Admin
Wow. Thanks for the promote. What criteria should I use to protect and unprotect pages? --chrisbliss18 00:33, 22 October 2005 (PDT)
If you want to leave a message for me, you should do it on my talk page :)
FYI - If you want to leave a message that I'll see for sure the next time I'm on, just add a note to my talk page.
Generally, I like to leave all of the pages unlocked. There have been a few times when a vandal or two decided to just delete entire pages for no apparent reason. So in those cases, I've used the rollback feature to undelete their changes and then protected the page for a few days or weeks, whatever's necessary.
I also keep the main page locked, mostly because it gets all the traffic and it is a very easy target for vandalism. Anyway, feel free to add new important pages to the home page, if you feel they're important. --Admin 08:14, 22 October 2005 (PDT)

Welcome.
Hi, Fellow Lostaway! and welcome to your LOSTpedia experience! ;P Be sure to join our community of fans and join the discussion. I'm sure you'll make many new friends here :P Nah, now seriously, there's been talk about creating a special infobox for Sysops, as everyone else has very simple userpages I didn't thinl it as nesecary, but it would look great. BTW, check this: Template:User_hardwork I think we need to concentrate on improving user experience around here, please give me your thoughts. GodEmperorOfHell --15:10, 19 May 2006 (PDT)
- I really don't know what you are referring to when you mention a special infobox, so I don't know what to say on that subject. On the subject giving special awards to members based on their efforts, I think that is a great idea. I'm also an Admin at an Anime Forum, and I can tell you from years of experience there that members love recognition and the ones that deserve recognition most will never mention wanting it. Furthermore, I love the usage of the exercise experiment image as part of the award. So I fully back awarding such templates for people to use. Now if you could just give me some more info about what you want to do with the sysop infobox, I'll give you my input on that matter as well. --chrisbliss18 15:21, 19 May 2006 (PDT)
All articles are now Protected from Moves
TO: All Sysops
Our most recent troll found a really annoying way to automate a ton of edits. Making the rolling back process take much much longer. He made rollbacks very difficult by deleting the content on the article, saving and then moving the article to a new location.
Long story short. I have updated the database to force every article to be move protected. Only Sysops have the rights to move articles from one place to another.
When this vandal returns, we will be able to roll back his changes in the normal EASY way. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Admin --Admin 07:25, 8 July 2006 (PDT)
