Spoilers
Hi, Please don't create articles based on events that havent happened in the actual show yet. See Spoiler policy. Also, please don't delete content from your talk page.--TechNic|talk|conts 15:06, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- I've deleted the page. And as TechNic said, please don't remove content from your talk page. We keep them to use as reference of past discussions. Thanks. -- Graft talk contributions 16:06, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- Lostpedia considers a spoiler to be any information about upcoming episodes, including cast, characters, crew, photographs, and synopses, released by any source (including ABC Medianet). Information about Lost is considered a spoiler until (any of the following):
It has been revealed in an episode of Lost that has aired on ABC in the Eastern time zone in the United States. It has been revealed in officially authorized spin-off media released to the United States general public, including but not limited to: Books, such as Bad Twin Video games, such as Lost: Via Domus Alternate reality games, such as The Lost Experience and Find 815 Mobisodes, such as Lost: Missing Pieces DVD releases Lostpedia administrators have determined by consensus that the information has been revealed by the producers of Lost to the mainstream media and is sufficiently widespread across mainstream and non-Lost related Internet media that it can no longer be considered a spoiler. Such information is not to be added to Lostpedia by users. The producers are considered by Lostpedia to be: Showrunners and executive producers Carlton Cuse and/or Damon Lindelof Executive producers Jack Bender, J.J. Abrams, Jean Higgins, Bryan Burk and Pat Churchill
- The episode preview was aired on widespread media(Television commercial) and ABC's official Lost website..that is endorsed by the executive producers!!CastorPollock 16:15, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- Yes, but the episode has not aired yet. Until the episode airs, any content that was in the episode should not be added to Lostpedia. Feel free to add it the second the episode finishes in the US.-- Sam McPherson T C 16:18, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- "Lostpedia administrators have determined by consensus that the information has been revealed by the producers of Lost to the mainstream media and is sufficiently widespread across mainstream and non-Lost related Internet media that it can no longer be considered a spoiler." So I guess I await a consensus seeing that this was released on Television(Channel ABC), which is a non lost mainstream media. CastorPollock 16:23, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- The trailer was created by the promotional department at ABC rather than the producers themselves. There is, however, a section for spoilers for season four that you can contribute to if you feel the need. However, as stated clearly on the main page, the wiki is consistent with US airdates, and episode 4x07 has obviously not aired there yet. -- Sam McPherson T C 16:27, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- Don't throw the spoiler policy at me if you refuse to adhere to it. It is no longer considered a spoiler when it is released in mainstream media. The preview is in main stream media and therefore according to the spoiler policy that was quoted to me is no longer considered a spoiler.CastorPollock 16:37, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- It is no longer a spoiler once the show has aired. The policy clearly states that only once an episode has had its premiere airing, does any information contained within it. The clause above is for extenuating circumstances, and previews of episodes are clearly classed as spoilers. If you don't like that, there are many other sites that you can use instead. -- Plkrtn talk contribs email 14:25, 9 March 2008 (PDT)

- No, you are simply misinterpreting the spoiler policy. "Lostpedia administrators have determined by consensus that the information has been revealed by the producers of Lost to the mainstream media and is sufficiently widespread across mainstream and non-Lost related Internet media that it can no longer be considered a spoiler. - Right so I await a discussion from the admins on thisCastorPollock 16:47, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- What do you mean? The said page was deleted by an admin, and the policy which I cited was created by the admins. What more do you need? -- Sam McPherson T C 16:49, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- Oh wow that didn't sound much like a consensus at all. That sounds more like one person deciding to remove an article. Hhmmm. Well I guess that is thatCastorPollock 16:52, 8 March 2008 (PST)
Archiving talk page
Please stop deleting this page. You should archive your talk page rather than only delete it. See Lostpedia:General_usage_guide#User_Talk_Pages. You can do this by creating a new page (Like User talk:CastorPollock/archive1) and putting the deleted talk there, then linking to it from your talk page. For examples, have a look at the way the SysOps do it on their talk pages.--TechNic|talk|conts 19:18, 8 March 2008 (PST)
Do not wipe out this page again - last warning
If you want the content to be removed from your user talk page, please follow the archiving example above. If I find that this page has been removed again, I will place a ban on your account for repeatedly being not only a disruptive influence (RE: Your deliberate misinterpretation of the spoiler policy) but for failing to follow the rules of the site re: talk pages. Furthermore, it is not YOUR talk page. It is the user accounts talk page, which is a privilege, not a right, and as such you are expected to follow certain protocol. - I've ask you again to stop writing on my talk page. Stop harrassing me.CastorPollock 14:58, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
- Misinterpretation says you. But I dropped the discussion. You people keep dragging it on. So anyone can write anything on a persons talk page? Who the bleep are you? This doesn't sound like a very fair discussion at all. I guess I'll just take it to your page...or will I get banned for that too? CastorPollock 14:49, 9 March 2008 (PDT) look I signed it you pompous arse. CastorPollock 14:49, 9 March 2008 (PDT) and I didn't delete my own talk pageCastorPollock 14:49, 9 March 2008 (PDT) But I guess I can add to it without a problemCastorPollock 14:49, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
- Not sure if you noticed, but everyone can view the history for each page and it clearly shows that you wiped this page multiple times. -- MacCutcheon talk contrib 15:05, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
- Stop writing on my talk page. how hard is that?? I've stopped deleting it you expletive deleted, to better fit under the guidelines. IOr are you still going to ban me. I asked you to stop, but you won't. So now who do I go to with my complaint of harrassment? I deleted it previously, but then didn't not delete any more. So again please stop writing on my page...seeing as I can't remove anything that you write. That surew souns like a great system. But I bet if Im were to go over to your talk page I'd get banned for continuing to write on your page. REASONS TO DELETE TALK PAGES
Typo and spelling errors Spam comments Blatantly offensive material (pornographic content, inappropriate personal information posted) Adding the unsigned template to a user who didn't sign their addition to the talk page.
I consider what you are saying spam..so under that I request to be able to remove this contentCastorPollock 15:13, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
Banned permanently
If you want to come back, behave as is expected. I've made my reasons clear. You leave your talk page content where it is, and you don't put spoilers on the site, trying to test our spoiler policy. Next time you break the rules, its a week, and the time after that you'll get a permanent ban. -- Plkrtn talk contribs email 15:52, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
