That is the case... Isn't it working? --GodEmperorOfHell 12:07, 20 August 2006 (PDT)
Sig Help
I get it, like a double mirror? It can't mirror the whole formula when its copying the shortcut. Thanks for the help --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:00, 20 August 2006 (PDT)
- Also, do you think the site will fix this abnormality? I know for some users it always happened, but I never had the trouble. Will it stay like this for us all (if so, I'll incorporate your thing into the signature metawiki guide --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:02, 20 August 2006 (PDT)
Almost forgot what the original problem was with the sig, but I followed the directions, and hope it's solved? PS: At first in the sandbox test, I thought my sig was automatically signing your name (Captain Insano) along with mine, and was confused, but it appears that you just signed right after me. :) If that had been the case, I'd have been afraid to sign anything, LOL. --PandoraX 13:04, 20 August 2006 (PDT)
PS: Is there a page for understanding what to do in the case of editing conflicts better? First time I had one, it was major, and I lost a lot of my contributions that way; since then I've just been cutting and pasting the info manually in a new edit.

Damnnn CI, you've been working hard on the Automobiles featured in Lost article! Thanks so much it's great, love your additions, edits, and vehicle IDs. And might as well say here I noticed all of your image work on articles all over the wiki, great work! -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T12:39, 24 August 2006 (PDT)
- I left two possibilites for Eko's flashback vehicle. Note also the chrome on the window frames that are visible in the screencaps, which makes me lean toward the W-126 rather than the W-201. I also double checked Helen's car, and I think you're right, it's a Camry and not any incarnation of the Corolla. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T13:10, 24 August 2006 (PDT)
-
- I have another vehicle for your list, but it is a tough one. In "Hunting Party" we see Gabriela Busoni getting out of her car as Jack is leaving the hospital after the unsuccessful surgery on her father (It happens appx. 24 minutes into the episode). The scene is incredibly dark and I have had no success get a good screen capture. If you can figure this one out you should get another Lostpedia award.--Scocub 06:11, 31 August 2006 (PDT)
- Great work on Hurley's Altima, I don't know how you do it. FYI I added Jimmy Bane's vehicle, as well as Anthony Cooper's taxi, both are unidentified. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T07:37, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
- Also just added Gabriela Busoni's vehicle, so that's 3 unidentified vehicles. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T08:26, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
- Sorry I was trying to minimize the number of screenshots. I'll upload a separate one to clarify for all readers. In the meantime, I'll just tell you, it was in the 'whale tail' location on the roof, at the far rear of the center of the roof. You can see the glare off it in other views. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T13:24, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
- Here's the antenna in context to the entire car: Image:Auto-gabriela3.jpg. Good work on the Bentley correction btw. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T14:18, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
- Regarding Gabriela Busoni's vehicle, I found these pictures of a Lexus RX350 exterior and interior. The antenna looks about right and the dashboard raises up around the steering wheel similar to the screencap from the show. My only doubt is that the RX350 sits a little high and if you look at the car in relation to Gabriela, it either sits low or she's really tall. However, it could be possible that I am just misjudging the height of the RX350. I'm pretty sure it's a Lexus because Lexus seems to be the only company that makes an antenna that long. Take a look and see what you think.--scocub
- Also just added Gabriela Busoni's vehicle, so that's 3 unidentified vehicles. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T08:26, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
- Interesting. I wouldn't depend on vehicle height. They frequently use boards or boxes for the actors to stand on, if height differences (between two actors, or between an actor and prop) is an issue during filming. I wonder if other Lexus models have something similar though. I also have one very very dark screenshot of the front fascia, with a barely visible license plate, but I think it's almost useless. I'll upload it though and see if we can see a sedan vs. SUV outline. BTW Scocub, do you ever intend to edit an article? I see that 99% of your edits are on your user page (with none at all on articles) =) -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T
- On second thought, the vehicle height seems very sedan like. Jack & Gabriela tower over the cars.-- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T
- When you get a moment, could you check out Bernard's Jeep again? The one in the window that we ID'd is not his Jeep, it's Isaac of Uluru's. Bernard and Rose's vehicle has doors (you can see in the interior shots), and there is a rear view scene that shows no bed (Isaac's in the window has a bed). Thanks! PS I have no clue on Gabriela's. Lexus IS just seems wrong and the antenna is too long, but *shrug* who knows. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T15:30, 7 September 2006 (PDT)
- Great work CI, as always. I'm very impressed by that G-Class. I'm curious what was the telling detail on the corolla? I gave up on that one, but i've been looking at car antennae every time I go outside. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T22:36, 8 September 2006 (PDT)
Read first before you delete
Hey dude, I think my addition to the Number Theory was different enough to justify including - and it's indented as a subcomment to the preceding theory. Did you even read it?--Mramsey 18:23, 26 August 2006 (PDT)
- No I just delete random stuff. Of course I read it. The statement above it said how it could be any combanation of the numbers and days, months, years, seconds, decades, etc. So your theory was un-needed. So read before you post. Anything else?--CaptainInsano 18:28, 26 August 2006 (PDT)
- I wrote more than just another combination of numbers. But I bow to your superior judgement. Plonk --Mramsey 19:12, 26 August 2006 (PDT)
Fox
Yeah, Fox is mostly definitely not in-game for TLE. :) He's just a regular fan SPeaker did a profile on, he is doing two profiles a week (including possibly for me), so I don't think it's necessary to clutter lostpedia with all the regulars on his blog. --PandoraX 07:42, 27 August 2006 (PDT)
My problematic sig
For some reason, whenever I sign a post, it appears in the code as this:
<font face="Comic Sans MS"> <span style="color:#808080;font-size:120%">Silva</span><span style="color:Blue;font-size:120%">Storm</span> </font face="Comic Sans MS">
What can I do to make it just stay ?
--SilvaStorm
- Thanks for your help, Cap'n. :) --SilvaStorm 03:46, 31 August 2006 (PDT)
My sig
Thanks for the update. I hadn't really noticed it until just now, when you pointed it out to me, but I can understand it would take up too much space on a talkpage. Thanks for informing the ignorant like me! </selfdeprecation> --Aero*Zeppelin 14:38, 29 August 2006 (PDT)

Sorry, didn't realize that was a faux-paus. There just wasn't much to say about either the actor or the character. I thought it best to condense, but not if it breaks continuity. I'm flexible either way. Thanks for the heads-up! -Beardog4314 09:34, 31 August 2006 (PDT)
Sig Assist
Thanks for your help. I'll try using just the three tildes for my sig. In reference to my User page, I did copy your code, but I am still in the process of creating my page, so I was not able to make to appropriate color changes yet. Real life does intervene sometimes. I didn't mean to step on any toes by creating a light blue box that counts down my favorite episodes. I wouldn't want to be considered a thief by taking someone's original work.--scocub
Kate's Bike
- I posted a question with our (dark) screenshots over at Harley Davidson forums yesterday. They don't think it's a Harley. Do we have better screencaps? I brightened up the ones I had access to, but I don't have the S1 DVD. Here's the forum thread: link -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T14:12, 1 September 2006 (PDT)
Cant get my sig to work.
I followed your instructions on the smiley faced ballon talk page but I still cant get it to work. So far i have a User:Dee4leeds/sig and a User:Dee4leeds/autosig with it set inside to Dee4leeds talk contribs all and in prefrences my nickname set to Dee4leeds talk contribs all (But without the spaces or my sig will just appear in the paragraph i have just written!) -- 04:17, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
Thanks Cap! I'm an idiot, I forgot to change the default. --PandoraX 14:40, 5 September 2006 (PDT)

Season1nav
Hi, Captain Insano, can you please give a reason when you revert my changes to Template:Season1nav and Template:Season2nav? Thanks, Riki 07:19, 10 September 2006 (PDT)
- In the changes summary, I mentioned "layout", meaning that I reduced the font size to make it look prettier, more consistent also with the font size in the infoboxes. Riki 00:38, 11 September 2006 (PDT)
Removed comments?
Hi, Is there a specific reason you removed all of my theory comments on John Locke and Henry Gale???
Not a problem
I have Lost Season 3 on my watchlist, and saw that it was updated, so I removed the rest.
I'm always happy to help govern around here. Gives me something to do.
Eitherway, again, not a problem for deleting the rumours. --Aero*Zeppelin 18:19, 11 September 2006 (PDT)
Chill out with the telling offs!
That was a little harsh on the new user who edited the Season 3 rumours into the site. You just need to inform, not scould! --plkrtn 04:57, 12 September 2006 (PDT)
- To be fair to the Captain though Plkrtn, he isn't the only one by far. Lots of people give the newbs a hard time, including SysOps to be honest. I'm not gonna condone it but it ain't all his fault, many people can be a bit blunt with new intakes --Nickb123 (Talk) 05:01, 12 September 2006 (PDT)
It would be much better if instead of saying "we don't give a crap about..." in an edit description, you keep it neutral. Say "Removing non-factual theory" or something to that effect. -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 14:57, 18 September 2006 (PDT)

You still landed a comment, thus securing your position as being a key player in every Lostpedia flame war (rightly so) --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:24, 13 September 2006 (PDT)
- It was very soothing. Still wanna try my hand at rollback but everyone else got in first. Glad to kick that little freak. If its the same IP I might see about blockin it (though I don't think I can checkuser...). I'll add me now, cheers! --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:58, 14 September 2006 (PDT)
Bob?
What are you talking about? Just because my username is BOB doesnt mean Im " THE BOB" who keeps vandalizing. I just set my username as bob because that is my name. I've done nothing wrong. And why cant we welcome people to lostpedia?
Just for the record, I dont care what you think --Bob7891 14:23, 16 September 2006 (PDT)Bob7891
- I agree to an extent, it was a bit premature in attacking him. Innocent until proven guilty (though I'm sure you'd challenge that lol). Just keep your watchful eye on recent changes... --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:31, 16 September 2006 (PDT)
A quick edit
I've lost the will to live after this, can you sort this comment out please with your usual style and flair?:

Excuse me???
Why so harsch??
Whats wrong with adding some new theories? They were fine! What was wrong?
Well, you could have said it nicely...
- A defintion of 'theory' is: "Abstract reasoning; speculation.", and my reasoning is a lot less abstract than most I've seen (example = "Libby in the mental hospital could be explained with some sort of time travel too, for instance the island could be some sort of alternate universe like a pergatory or something and maybe if you die on the island you return to the real world at some point in time. Maybe she returned to the real world and enrolled herself in Santa Rosa to be close to hurley." wtf?), so I'm keeping it. The second a theory has evidence, it isn't a theory anymore, it's fact. The only 'evidence' is given out is canon, which means it should no longer be in the theory section ANYWAY, making the theory sections redundant. Theories are, by nature, speculation based on reasoning. I am correct and if you disagree with a theory, provide your counter-arguments on the mainpage instead of cowardly deleting it, thanks. --Andyroo316 11:02, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
- I didn't say that though! I was saying that compared to stupid theories like that time travel one, my Shannon/Jae Lee one has a lot more ground and it isn't baseless speculation: it is speculation with reasoning, which is what a theory IS, which is why I am keeping the Jae Lee one in Shannon's 'theory' section. Why not delete the "Sarah Shephard's lover" page? That's COMPLETELY speculation, which you oh so hate. --Andyroo316 11:38, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
Theory Cleanup
I saw the good sort out work you did with listening station, and wondered if you might be able to work the same magic on the discharge? Again, its theory section is a mess. If you're too busy then no worries, just thought I'd mention it cause the other one was well done --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:00, 22 September 2006 (PDT)
Spoilers
- I am leaning towards not posting spoilers here on LP. That is not what we are about. That said, even if spoilers were OK'd, I don't think I would feel fine about posting spoilers myself. It's only four days anyhow, and other sites will have spoilers I'm sure, like Ryan Ozawa's podcast and AICN again. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T20:33, 24 September 2006 (PDT)
Re:Rewrites
I'd suggest just doing it the way you do it, and if that means be thorough with her story then fine. Its easier to trim off bits than to remember other things to add. It wasn't any trouble before, and I don't mind proofreading it and changing parts again if it needs --Nickb123 (Talk) 05:02, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
Thanks!
Hi there, I thought I'd take the opportunity to thank you for your assistance (and finding me somehow) regarding my pesky little plea. I'll learn your strange and varied customs sooner or later and try my best not to wreck and ravage this haven for Lostlings. Thanks again! --Ava 20:11, 26 September 2006 (PDT)

Nav-Main template
Hey Captain. Especially because you're so against putting Henry in the "Nav-Main" template, I'd like to hear your opinion about the renaming that I suggested. Thanks, Obi-Dan Kenobi 15:21, 29 September 2006 (PDT)
- I'm wondering about it too. If the template is limited to Crash Survivors, shouldn't it be called something like that? It seems kind of counterintuitive that something called Main Characters should exclude a main character. --Minderbinder 15:23, 29 September 2006 (PDT)

Hey old pal, you're really adamant about this article aren't you? I say just simmer down and let some sysops deal with it. Don't let that "Iron Chef" noob get to you. With any luck, the article will be deleted in a matter of days. Regards, Marik7772003 17:37, 1 October 2006 (PDT)
The Guy Who Vandalised Your Page
Is banned, but next time, even if he edits your page, hold your tongue a bit more OK. I ain't defending him, and don't mind your comments usually, but today you were particularly vicious lol --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:57, 2 October 2006 (PDT)
Delete tag instead of redirect to spam
Thought I'd point out, on the SPAM page: "Could you please use the delete template delete instead of redirecting to SPAM. Many thanks. --plkrtn 06:17, 2 October 2006 (PDT)"
- Looks like the delete tag is the new way to go --Minderbinder 14:50, 2 October 2006 (PDT)
SPAM Pages
I have nothing against redirecting SPAM pages to SPAM. Its just tagging them with delete does make them easier to find, and most of us SysOps use that. I suppose it would be possible to redirect a page to spam and put delete on that page too. -- Plkrtn talk contribs email 01:08, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
