Stubs, criteria.

Yes, a stub is a really short article in continuous development. As the show is not over new information might and will appear. For example; the psalms displayed on the Jesus stick might come in handy in explaining some of Mr. Eko's actions in a future episode. You can always unstub it and declare the article, albeit short, complete. It's not uncommon that after one of my categorizing and stubbing sprees someone comes up and unstubs or recategorizes the entry, it's normal. Keep up the good work!. †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --13:02, 2 March 2006 (PST)

Re: Thanks

Hehe, no problem at all :-) Just correcting stuff when I see something. --Jambalaya 13:07, 2 March 2006 (PST)

Return of the Living Dead Spammers

I wish we could change the format of registration, but Wiki software won't allow it and is one of the conditions in the license. (anyone can edit it, even people you don't like). we have gone through the spammers-vandals routine already in the past, and we are only able to stop them with the help of everyone else, thanks for your spammer alerts. And yes, there is a revert button, but it is only available in the sysop interface. Thanks for your hard work. †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --19:43, 5 March 2006 (PST)

Well Meaning But Confused

That's mean to refer to myself. What exactly is this "summary field you asked me to fill out? Will be happy to do so as soon as someone tells me what it is and how to do it.--Tricksterson 06:42, 8 March 2006 (PST)

New Logo

Uploaded a couple of draft logo suggestions, but didn't want to replace your work at the main page/discussion. I'll leave that to you if you so wish. :)
Image:Lostpedia-lores.gif Image:Lostpedia-text-lores.gif

Suggestions welcome ofcourse! These are just draft versions (which explains the smudges!). Also have GIF/JPEG/PSD hires versions if needed.--skks 10:12, 9 March 2006 (PST)

This is not the first time...

We have already battled Bob's childish efforts, thanks for your ideas, but User:Admin is the only authorized to make changes in the wiki software. I think I have rolled back all changes by this freak, if you see I missed something feel free to contact me. Now if you excuse me I will have some sushi and movies with my girl now.†††GodEmperorOfHell††† --13:17, 11 March 2006 (PST)

about "Good Family"

Good_Family#Mr._Eko_.26_Henry_Gale

You've written: If the Others are like "family", Mr. Ekos plead for forgiveness towards Henry Gale may have been part of a tradition. In some cultures, when a murderer kills someone, he is to ask for forgiveness by the family of the murdered person.

Maybe I simply don't understand the grammatic, but to clear the situation: the murderer have to apologize the family of killed person.

You can delete this sections after answering. I don't want to spam at your page.

UPD: I read your explanation. Still don't get it ;-) but I believe this is written correctly :-) Greetings. --Raven66 11:09, 14 March 2006 (PST)

Promoted to Sysop :)

Thanks for all of your hard work at the LostPedia. I've promoted you to SysOp.

Thanks, --Admin 22:18, 24 March 2006 (PST)

Talks

If users have a registered & validated email address, you can communicate with them via the Special:Emailuser/username link on the left side of the page (near the bottom on the user page). You must also have "Disable e-mail from other users" unchecked on your preferences to receive email.
--    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:50, 25 March 2006 (PST)

Personally, I'm going to keep 'disable email yada-yada' ticked, but I can give out my email address by request to sysops. Maybe we need to set up an IM (ie. msn) system or something to further help communication. --skks 23:30, 25 March 2006 (PST)

Sysop talk.

Hi, welcome aboard, heard about your promotion. if you have instant messenger you can add me at hotmail dot com. Unfortunately there's no chatroom unless you want all of us to join to an existing one. I was thinking about protecting the talk on Lostpedia:Administrators. Anyway you know where to find me. †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --12:08, 26 March 2006 (PST)

why are you reverting to a version by bob?    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email

Oops - sorry... I just clicked on revert, but you already reverted Bob... :-) Gee - it's getting late. Should better be going to bed now... ;-) --aurora glacialis 13:10, 26 March 2006 (PST)

Make sure you're using Special:Espionage to track user IPs when you're banning Bob. For every Bob you ban, you should also ban the corresponding IP.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   08:21, 28 March 2006 (PST)

The 'espionage' only works if the bobs in question have posted something, the last few hadn't. --skks 08:26, 28 March 2006 (PST)

I'm curious to know how we knew about the ID then? I see there are no contributions by those users. Were you just testing the ban function out? I still haven't found any special page that logs new user registrations.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   08:32, 28 March 2006 (PST)

I don't think, blocking IPs has any value except you could block the whole service provider. Most users have a dynamic IP, so it's unlikely that Bob will have the same IP twice - more likely someone else will get that IP and wonder why he can't access this site. Well - ok it's not more likely but the point is that it's probably a waste of time to block single IPs.

You can block users before they make an edit (in case of BoB, this is useful since it saves some time reverting all the edits. BTW - it would be nice to have a "rollback all" button on the contributions page....

Jabrwocky, I tried to email you but got no reply, you have emails disabled? Then maybe write me, if you want. --aurora glacialis 10:51, 28 March 2006 (PST)

You can check most of bob's latest ip-ranges in User_talk:Admin#Another_Bob_Attack. --skks 12:08, 28 March 2006 (PST)

Articles for deletion?

So glad to have found this! I tried the Wikicities one before but the standard of writing was so low, and that coupled with the fact that the owner and practically only editor enforced writing errors with reverts put me off. This is much better in content and in presentation; I look forward to participating!

Obviously the level of bureaucracy that we have on Wikipedia wouldn't be appropriate here, but I wondered how articles got deleted? I was looking at Daystrom Data Concepts, whose only connection with Lost AFAICT is that lots of bits of fiction have used the name "Oceanic" for a fictional airline. Thanks! Ciphergoth 00:09, 5 April 2006 (PDT)

Watch this guy, please.

Could you please watch This guy? I have to go to work now and he seems like a one line vandal. I haven't blocked him since he contributed one significant line, but that could be his cover. thank ou in advance!. †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --12:07, 12 April 2006 (PDT)

Supply Drop

Hi, like a Monday morning quarterback today I finally checked back here and noted your discussion on my hatch theory. Check it out and let me know what you think. --frecklefaerie 12:21 11 Apr 2006 (EDT)

You're welcome, but...

... why didn't you do it earlier? it's a really cool logo! †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --14:31, 15 April 2006 (PDT)

Shocked...

Well. I feel I should apologize for treating you as one of the 'guys' (you know what I mean). I had no idea. I think it is my mexican education that makes me feel really embarrased. I have nothing but utter respect for you, keep up the good work!. †††GodEmperorOfHell††† --18:29, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

All articles are now Protected from Moves

TO: All Sysops

Our most recent troll found a really annoying way to automate a ton of edits. Making the rolling back process take much much longer. He made rollbacks very difficult by deleting the content on the article, saving and then moving the article to a new location.

Long story short. I have updated the database to force every article to be move protected. Only Sysops have the rights to move articles from one place to another.

When this vandal returns, we will be able to roll back his changes in the normal EASY way. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Admin --Admin 07:25, 8 July 2006 (PDT)

Template for citing sources

While editing the article Brazil in Lost, I noticed that much of the information posted there seems speculative rather than from an actual source connected to the producers, or a reputable news source. I figured it would be a good idea to add a template that could indicate when a certain piece of information should be checked for accuracy. My apologies if something of the sort already exists, feel free to delete it at your discretion... - Antiuser 16:41, 17 August 2006 (PDT)

Fwd: Hows this look?

I'd like a vote on how this Template:Banned looks. If we should use it or not, if it would be practicle. Thanks for your time --Ironman 08:25, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
