Observations

• This is the most ambitious show in television history.
• This is the best non-comedy show in television history.
• Sayid is by far the smartest character and the only one who really deserves to get off the damn island.

Theories

• Whatever explanation the show eventually provides won't be as grandiose and complex as most people suggest; few viewers are actually as into it as the fans are.
• All the mysteries will be resolved, but the final scene will be a cliffhanger. Lost is just that kinda show. (Prediction dated April 30 2008)
• The Others will indeed prove to be the good guys, as anyone can see by simply watching the producers uncontrollably wink and nudge each other.
