Who is Rennerboy?

Why does Rennerboy watch Lost?

  • Because even after the thrill is gone, there's the need. Something Charlie would understand.

Comments on characters

  1. Sayid - capable, empathetic, consistent, a team-player. The interesting feat of raising so much sympathy for a Republican Guard torturer may be a key to the plot. Maybe eliminating prejudice is how you change the equation so the world doesn't end. ("After that we can sing Kumbaya and do 'trust falls.'", Sawyer, S2-E18, Dave) I don't believe we're done with reveals about his past, though.
  2. Jack - seems inconsistent. Is he a healer, a soldier, a leader? Seems to like Kate, doesn't do much about it. People look to him for leadership, but he steps up only at turns.
This I think is a writing flaw: A surgeon should be more interesting in securing a cutting instrument, sterilization and drugs. Jack doesn't seem that intereted in Locke's knives. He badgers Sawyer on occasion for prescription drugs, but he doesn't focus on the heroin. And instead of setting up a mango winery and still, he actually wastes some of the airline booze by drinking it, and doesn't do anything about Desmond swilling Dharma hard liquor. Plus I don't think a surgeon would throw hands as often as Jack does. Would be more of a kicker and knee-er. It doesn't bother me that he's a conflicted hero, but he could be a more convincing surgeon.
  1. Locke - Walter Mitty mystic finds a home on the island. Man of faith, who has a tendency to believe things are meant to be. His walkabout is Australia was meant to be (wrong); his meeting his father and donating his kidney was meant to be (wrong, except as his conning father meant it to be); everyone crashing on the island was meant to be (?).
  2. Ben - not the top leader, but a highly feared number two.

Comments on actors

  1. Evangeline Lilly - In a cast, an industry and a world full of beautiful women, there is something uniquely attractive about her face. I think it must be supersymmetric. Maybe it's the ski nose. For a slender woman, she's put together very nicely. She's a good actress, but I'm not convinced that Kate is really attracted to Jack, Sawyer or that cop.

The Others

They're not pulling the strings on the island. The crash of Oceanic 815 was a total surprise to them. Hanso Foundation are the puppetmasters. And someone is pulling their strings.

How does it end?

In an intense show-down, the A-Team confronts a sinister global force. By manipulating symbols, numbers and keys, they unlock the mysteries of the island and the meaning of life, simulatenously averting a meltdown that threatens all of humanity. Either that, or they jump into their sports cars and drive back to their flats.
