Nice Call

Good call on the system failure and plane crash theory. Something that hasn't sat right with me since A Tale of Two Cities is the plane crash itself. We see the plane breaking up over the island at a seeming low altitude, but in the 1st episode, when the plane is torn in two, you can clearly see the clouds far below the aircraft! And, when we see the tail section crash in Season Two, it comes at an angle nowhere near where we see it break up in Two Cities!

The unanswered...

Just wanted to explain my reasoning for that last delete... a lot of the centric episodes don't cover *everything* that happens on the island, just a segment of interaction that involves the centric character. For example, we probably won't find Kate and Sawyer arriving in their canoe for several episodes, even though we know they are in the water. So I think it's one of those unanswered questions that will be answered very soon. But it's kind of a soft call, and I don't care that much about it. :) --PandoraX 09:18, 16 February 2007 (PST)

Clear Something Up For Me

I need you to clear something up that's been bugging me. It's about vandelism. Deletion/editing summaries

Nick - Sometimes when you make deletions that are I'm guessing policy based rather than just basic editing, it's not obvious why. Not to bog you down with long edit summaries, but some brief clue would be helpful! :-) There have been a couple of times where I was scratching my head, but the most recent example is deleting reference to the flashbacks in the episode summary. Nick - yeah fixing typos or wording or whatever is self evident. It's just when something seems policy or definition based, especially if it's an outright deletion that clarification is helpful. In this case I did put a question on the talk page but it was ignored til today so then I went to your user page to ask. pod cast stubs

I was looking through the stub pages and i have a question. pod cast stubs is just a summary of the podcast right? and feb.12.2007 seems to be pretty detailed, I was just wondering cause ive done one podcast and im going to start another one tommorrow if feb12's would be concidered a stub? Also there isn't any other place on the site for the summarys besides pod casts where as the pod casts are all put in here, wouldnt that make the summaries kinda confusing to find for ppl who don't wanna have to read through the whole transcript? I can see how a summary can be nessary as ive said ive done one and there is alot of info that someone who was looking for clues or wouldn't care about so shouldnt they be with the transcripts box somewhere??? Maps

Nick - Are you sure that the Dharma Cabling map is oriented with North in an upwards direction? In all of the pics I've seen, the compass indicator in the upper left corner is either skewed or beneath glare. --Samhain99 11:05, 19 March 2007 (PDT)

When I zoom in on that, it looks more like an M than an N. Do things start to play out better if up on the map is actually a southerly direction? If up is south, then that puts the flame and the barracks back in harmoney with the Blast Door Map.

Looks good now Nick. Great layout. Nice find with the small ? just north of the Swan. The dotted line around the ? in the center of the map also coincides with the dotted notation on the DHARMA Cabling map on the left( the legend ). I've always been under the impression that The Pearl does not equal the ?, and this adds credence to it as well. There are quite a few answers in this theory, including that Kelvin and Radzinsky are not part of the current Others tribe. Can't wait to see the final analysis.

Also, I agree with your conjecture that the Tail section is beyond the scope of the crater image. The tail section is shown in previous shots to break off mid air, but not nessecarily to the south of the Barracks viewpoint. This would make the wreckage on the right side of the image the fuselage and the left side the mid section. This makes sense as there was limited smoke from the tail section crash, as the majority of it landed in the water, while the fuselage produced large amounts of smoke. This would also make sense with the 'hour-run' distance for Goodwin, since the middle section is clearly much further away from the barracks as the fuselage is. Also, before you wonder why there was no search sent to the mid section of the plane. There could be two possabilities. One is that they assumed that crashing in the middle of the jungle meant certain death. The other possability is that the Others wont go into the area where the 'Monster' roams. Discussion for another time though.

Cult Video

my thoughts on the cult video you removed are that whilst it was annoying that Enturbulate over-enthusiastically spammed it, and for some reason seems to think Scientology is a "pressing matter" rather than an oddly fashionable bit of bad pop-psychology. i do think that the video is relevant to the article. though it could be much better placed and explained. I feel there are many resonances between the people in the video and the others. And after all Cults go after people who are Lost your thoughts.

  • FYI User:Xmuskrat found a great tool to check for plagiarism, so if there's ever a question in the future, we can use Copyscape.com. He had suggested it to to marik & I to check silvastorm's other transcripts, and sure enough, he had plagiarized that one too. Recurring Themes

It's the United Kingdom page, I think really it should be split up into key areas such as London, Manchester and Scotland (the areas that have cropped up in the show). I also thought that there could be specific episode references. The content tends to be very good in the article but it could be made a lot easier and relevant to read, at the moment it's just a series of bullet points. --Joe 06:15, 14 April 2007 (PDT)
