The following is a checklist of actions that happen when an episode's status is promoted from spoilers to promoted to aired episode.

Spoilers are optionally added to Season 3/prespoilers.
The posting of spoilers to any other location on Lostpedia is strictly prohibited.

Promoted

Checklist:

A sysop creates a protected episode article that shows the information verbatim from ABC Medianet.
The same verbatim information is copied to Season 3 and Episode list.
The posting of this promotion information to other articles (such as character pages, etc.) is discouraged, but not officially prohibited.
Note that official episode promotion information should not be prefaced with a Template:Spoilers template. Promotions are not considered spoilers.

Aired episode

Pre-requisites:

Checklist:

Episode article is unprotected by a sysop.
Pre-spoiler information for the episode is deleted from Season 3/prespoilers.
The episode article is updated.
Relevant character, item, storyline, theme, cultural references, etc. are updated.

Information from Lostpedia:Theory policy was not considered for this checklist, because it contains information that contradicts the rules that have been enforced over the last several months.
