Bug
- For some reason, Image:Taiwan-axn-s3promo.jpg come up with the cat Category:Blast door map images. Is this a bug? -- Lost Soul talk contribs 02:06, 9 August 2007 (PDT)
Add categories
- I don't believe that the image categories from S1, S2, and S3 are included in the template. Leaf, could you add them? --Marik7772003 12:08, 25 August 2007 (PDT)
- They were but we decided we are not using them any more. Instead we are now categorizing all future images by episode. So any new images will be categorized by episodes and we will slowly work to change all old images to the episode cats which are sub cats of the season cats. Once we recat a lot of the images we can add links to the infoboxes for episodes, etc. -Mr.Leaf 12:10, 25 August 2007 (PDT)
Add to Special:Upload
- Shouldn't this be added to or linked from the Special:Upload page? I like to be helpful when uploading an image to use the correct template, but its hard to find if you don't know where to look. Is it even what we're supposed to be using, as opposed to Category:... ? -- Graft talk contributions 21:51, 1 December 2007 (PST)
- Ok, I now understand the concept of this template; not a replacement of the other way of categorizing images, but a way to make it easier. I still think a description of it should be added to the Special:Upload page, along with a link to the Category:Images page so people can easily find some suitable categories for it, if they so choose. -- Graft talk contributions 23:32, 19 January 2008 (PST)
Changes
I've made some changes from the original coding. The most noticeable changes are you can add up to 10 categories instead of 5 with the template now. The size is much smaller and has a smaller impact on the wiki. The template also automatically searches to see if the search term (called a tag in the template) matches any category. It automatically adds ..... images, images from ....., images of the ..... and images of ...... and sees if categories by those names exist. This reduces the need to add a whole lot of search terms to the list, now hosted under Template:Image/Code. So only add to that list if the tag you are adding is a variation of the actual category name if that makes sense. I'm working on some more updates which I will hopefully add sometime soon. -Mr.Leaf 13:03, 9 August 2008 (PDT)
Background
I created a category for background cast members, and I don't know how to make the template recognize it. Obi-Dan Kenobi 20:55, 30 August 2008 (PDT)
