family tree

i dont like the idea of haaving the familre tree, we really musn' t start mixing fiction and metafiction.--image: kman.png       talk contribs                   13:59, 9 August 2006 (PDT)

Is there really that much of a distinction though? I would say the novel is actually non-fictional in the world of LOST really. Aspects are for fiction purposes, but Hanso's claims of "don't believe Bad Twin" and stuff might suggest Troup wrote within the book aspects of "non-fiction" using the term loosely. The question remains whether the Widmore aspect was taken by actual "fact", but it certainly could have been. I split up the fiction and metafiction anyway with broken lines --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:41, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
the thing of it is is that we don't know where the split between the american and english families took place. the current picture show that it was about 1 generation. Arthur Widmore didn't have an accent while charles widmore did, I doubt that the family would have been split in that generation and have opposing dialects (they would according to the tree be brothers after all). Also just based off of his actions Arthur would appear to be older. If the older son doesnt have an accent... I think troup made everything up. --image: kman.png       talk contribs                   15:11, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
I'd say it's a nice idea, but too early. I assume we'll be learning much more about the Widmores this season, with Penny returning to the show. Once info starts rolling in, we can chart the relationship between the Bad Twin Widmores and those on the show. --Jajasoon 17:52, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
