Talk:Wayne Janssen
From Lostpedia
Theory
My theory is that he is the man who screwed Sawyer over, then eventually marries Kate's mother and becomes the drunk we know now. It makes sense because it seems like too much of a coincidence that Kate and Sawyer lived close to each other (Sawyer eats at the same diner her mother works at). -jon2286-
Now thats a nice idea.. good tie-up between the characters and be a kicker for Sawyer to find Kate's done his (ultimate) job for him and also Wayne's wife served him at the diner. Wayne certainly is a big enough jerk and could have been a lapsed con-man. As a con-man i would think that Sawyer moved around alot i, believe he is from Knoxville, so was probably only in an area only as long as necessary. --user:MRNasher
Now that I have seen the episode "Lockdown", my previous theory is less likely. It seems more likely that Locke's father is the real Sawyer (he's a con man) and shows a lack of morals that would fit the character from Sawyer's past. -jon2286-
Rename?
In the article for "What Kate Did", Wayne's full name is given as Wayne Janssen. Should this article be moved to that name? Robert K S 19:26, 12 November 2006 (PST)
- If you beleive this should be renamed add the rename tag to the page. Just change the PAGENAME part to what you wish to change the page title to and get the discussion going.--Mr.Leaf 17:12, 5 January 2007 (PST)
- Can we get rid of the rename tag on this page please as it comes up on the rename category page, and this page isnt nominated, ta.

- I searched the What Kate Did transcript and could find no explicit mention of Wayne's last name being "Janssen". I think it was always assumed it could be, because Kate's mom got remarried to him, and would otherwise be known as Diane Austen; but she is Diane Janssen. So I wouldn't have any issues with renaming out of assumption, such as what we did with Suzanne Callis and Connor Brennan. However, just pointing out that this is not in the transcript itself. --PandoraX 10:39, 14 January 2007 (PST)
- Nominated for rename because it says Janssen all around the article, either the page is renamed or Wayne Janssen is replaced with Wayne on the article--Phil (talk) 08:56, 19 April 2007 (PDT)
- Rename as per Phil --Jackdavinci 19:43, 29 April 2007 (PDT)
