Bullet Proof Blankets

blankets stop bullets like children stop moving freight trains, THEY DON'T. "though the blankets may have served as a bullet-proof vest of sorts". This is a stupid remark, especially as they didn't stop the bullets. i think it should be removed - Mikey 05:27, 19 May 2006 (PDT)

Michael alive?

I was told by a friend that in the preview Michael is still alive, with just an injured arm, can anyone confirm this, and if so shouldn't the "or shoots himself in the heart" be removed?

--Rayne 17:22, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

The US trailer for the next episode shows Michael alive with his arm in a sling showing that he only injured himself.

Didn't see that coming

Nice job writers, totally didn't see that one coming. Absolutely brilliant episode. *applause* --Elvis 06:50, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Yes. --Advance 17:35, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

Very interesting how Two For The Road not only applies to Christian and Ana the travellers, but also Ana and Libby the victims. -Degroot

Doesn't Add Up

They mention about Ana-Lucia being dead, but not Libby. We don't see her wounds (because of the folded blanket in front of her) but we do see a pool of blood. I wonder why they didn't mention that? --MisterHighway

I think Ana Lucia's dead (her "issues" were resolved which seems to precede death on the show) but not Libby because Kate or someone said in the preview "She's dead" and not "they're dead." I think "Henry" takes Libby with him, otherwise Libby would squeal on Michael. --MoJo 07:25, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

In the preview, we see what looks like Ana-Lucia's dead body. We also see Hurley saying something like "glad, you are alright" to someone, presumably Michael. However, he could be saying that to Libby. (He didn't seem upset) So it's possible she's not quite dead. But if she's alive, then she would presumably blow Michael's story (Probably that Gale got hold of the Gun and shot everybody in the Hatch, and escaped). Although, being Lost, she'll probably slip into a coma just as she's about to tell what happened. Guess we'll just have to wait and see :) --Uth 07:29, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

I just remembered Libby went to get wine so the pool of "blood" is most likely actually the vino! Either Henry took her, she's in shock and relapsed into hysteria, or too scared to tell on Michael--MoJo 08:06, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Didn't Libby send Hurley to get the wine, while she went to get the blankets?--MaliciousGod 17:35, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Speaking of which, there appeared to be water dripping behind Libby's body. Almost like there are leaks in the ceiling. I'm not sure what caused it, or if it's significant. --Uth 08:16, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

My guess is that if she's not dead, she'll be either unconcious or incoherent until some crucial moment.--Tricksterson 10:15, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

When Michael regained consciousness and started to tell his story, I couldn't help but notice Kate's expression. She knew about the theatrical glue and costumes and whatnot. I wonder why she didn't speak up about that fact.--Draven87 13:26, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Libby went to get a blanket, not wine - Hurley went to get that. I remember seeing Michael tied up in the safe in the preview. Anyone else catch that? It looked to me like water dripping behind Libby, which seemed odd. Also, I thought Kate did tell Jack about the fake beard and costumes at some time in the last couple of episodes. --Doc halidai 07:09, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

Yes, there were definitely leaks from the ceiling.. most odd.

Boat Serial Number

As Ana and Christian were driving to the bar, they passed a boat with the serial number IIIUVIUV written on it, does this mean anything?--guimonkey 13:19, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

The 'U' isn't part of the Roman number system. The remaining is 3 6 5. --Techiedavid 13:58, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

outside influences

is it unfair to mention the fact that Cynthia Watros is getting her own show on ABC? does anyone else remember this? i definitely think that Ana Lucia is alive and Libby is dead. Ana Lucia, in terms of plot lines, makes more sense to have survived, considering that Jack may or may not have a thing for her, and she boned Sawyer. Libby, on the other hand, only having the unfinished thread of why she was in the institution with Hurley, makes more sense to die. Besides she took three shots to the gut, if in fact nothing behind the blankets she was holding took the bullets, while Ana Lucia only took one. Plus, Ana Lucia is way more badass than Libby. P.S. Ana Lucia is hotter... djumbrosia

I would say there's little chance that Ana Lucia is alive, unless all these interviews with the show's team and Michelle Rodriguez are lies. Libby on the other hand is up in the air...but yeah I read somewhere she is going to be on a different show next year. Who knows. I personally believe the opposite, that Ana is dead and Libby is alive, but she might get killed off later this season.

Michelle Rodrigez (sp) was on Good Morning America the following day, not only did she confirm her character was killed but in fact said she knew it would happen from the beginning. She told the crew she had only signed a contract to last this long and was told from the beginning that her character (Ana Lucia) would be killed off. I am curious to see how Libby's death will affect Hurley. Is he stable enough to deal with it? Will he finally remember where he has seen her before?--guimonkey 06:24, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

they can't kill libby off until i know why she was in the mental institution/ what her whole deal is. i must know. i'm not kidding --djumbrosia

On the main page, there is a link to an article in which an "insider" confirms both are dead. Take it for what it's worth as I think the article was from the National Ledger or some such rag.----nycsep 17:14, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

Midnight Cowboy referece

When Tom (Sheppard) bumps into Sawyer with the car door, Sawyer replies with a very characteristic "I'm walking here!", a possible nod to Midnight Cowboy --Moebius 11:21, 2 July 2006 (PDT)

Gallery

Lol again I have gallery pic objections. Its all sex, drugs and death!!! Can't we get standard pictures for the episodes lol! Nice midshots of mid-dialogue perhaps, why's it all with the death n stuff --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:58, 15 August 2006 (PDT)

What else was the episode about?--CaptainInsano

Who is the second Other?

Henry accuses Ana of killing two Others. One is Goodwin. Who is the second Other? --Lostp 12:52, 17 September 2006 (PDT)

In "The Other 48 Days", Ana kills a female Other by beating her against the ground. She then finds the yellow list on the woman --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:15, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
She kills her a rock accutally. Beating her against sand just doesn't seem effective to me.---CaptainInsano 14:19, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
I did recall rock but then I thought I was mixing that up with how Eko killed two of em, so assumed she just head injured her Desmond-Kelvin style --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:24, 17 September 2006 (PDT)

Why the bodyguard?

Why does Christian hire Ana-Lucia? All he does is visit an ex-lover, the mother of his child - which might be painful but isn't dangerous. It seems to me that he's looking for company more than for protection. - Karin Spaink 17:34, 17 February 2007 (PST)

(Un)answered Question?

TechNic removed the question "Was "Henry" really coming for Locke? If so, why didn't he send a subordinate?" with the comment that this was answered, now I wonder, was that really answered? It looks like Ben really came for Locke, but why didn't he send a subordinate? Was that question answered? --MetalSnake 12:48, 23 May 2007 (PDT)

5 or 6 shots?

From Collision I seem to recall hearing Ana firing six times at Jason. In this episode however, Ana's mom talks about Jason being shot five times. In my opinion, this can mean two things: either she missed once, which seems unlikely to me as she was obviously trained in the use of a gun, and the shots were fired from close range, or this is an error. Should this be added? --Sirrus 08:13, 26 January 2008 (PST)

From the Trivia section

"Christian and Ana Lucia meet in a similar way that Jack and Ana Lucia met in "Exodus, Part 2" - both having small talk at a bar in an airport in Sydney."

I believe in this episode Christian and Ana Lucia are in America (probably L.A.). When Christian asks Ana Lucia for help he says he's going to Australia. macosx 04:38, 6 May 2008 (PDT)

Christian/Sawyer

I remember in a past episode( I don't remember the name, sorry) that Christian was already in the bar when Sawyer walked in. So why didn't they do it in this episode? Christian walks in AFTER Sawyer. Not a big deal, but just something that was bothering me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Skate1121 (talkcontribs) .

I think he more like looked over and saw Christian. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  10:57, 1 July 2008 (PDT)
