So, I guess the rot guys have gotten found out and got closed basicly? - Logan
- Not necessarily, they might have just changed all the access codes as a precaution --Nickb123 (Talk) 07:46, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- Now Nick may I ask, where did you find that code? Point me to a line in the source. - Logan
- Got it off the boards --Nickb123 (Talk) 08:11, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- Asked same question here: http://www.4815162342.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24008 Page 3, duncan gave me the answer, source code was changed to encrypt it this AM. --PandoraX 14:21, 17 July 2006 (PDT)

Does anyone know how they came across the new pw over the weekend? I know it was first on Lost-Ninja's forums, but I can't seem to get in to read the threads. It's obviously not something to be guessed, but a couple of RE guys said that they can't see how it was obtained through RE if this was a spoiler. --PandoraX 08:48, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
Hehe... also, I'm no longer on his top friend's list... :( This appears to be in-game, as he's changed it to only friends with no pictures (and at least some are real people--one is on my friend's list from earlier). He's msged some people hints about "the faceless masses" through myspace. --PandoraX 09:17, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- I've tried many of the words that could have been passwords (like "change" and "rebirth"), but i got nothing. dposse 13:02, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- Dposse, what are you talking about though, tried out passwords where? We already have the new password for ROT (it's that hugely long letter/number string on the main pg)... are you saying there's a second one? --PandoraX 14:18, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- I think its probably the name of a flower, clues including "wise old yellow" "aim for the stars", "a flowering" and "rebirth". A yellow star-shaped flower? Tried a daffodil but got nada --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:09, 17 July 2006 (PDT)

- What i'm saying is, i really doubt that large alphanumerical password is the true password. There must be another, simpler one. Why would someone pick a password for a part of a game that is that random? The last two passwords had something to do with clues in the game. Why is this any different? What has changed that makes this password not part of a in game clue? dposse
- OK, thanks for clarifying, DPosse, what you meant... I agree with you there. I wonder if maybe there have always been two passwords... one coded and one nondecoded; and it was just a fluke this one was found. The other thing I wonder is whether or not this password was "given" in a strange way, we just haven't discovered yet. --PandoraX 19:04, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
- Exactly. I thought the new password was in the new newsletter. I thought it could have been one of the many keywords in the newsletter, like "change" or rebirth". But, nothing yet. dposse 19:17, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
