- not sure... someone should double-check significance, but the original article did not read like a vanity article. If this user is a major source of fan theories, or a part of the fan community, I'd be inclined to keep. Still, I haven't had the inclination to investigate the issue more, and am somewhat satisfied that although somewhat poorly written, it was not vanity. However suspiciously, it was indeed the user's first and only contribution. If we keep it, we need a redirect based on all-lowercase spelling of the alias. Santa 22:03, 13 May 2006 (PDT)
- I'd vote for delete it.
- As mentioned in the article, almost every single idea this dude has is just plain dumb. He is just a fan who claims to know an "ABC-mole". But it appears like everything true has revealed was well-known on many forums weeks before. I think (or hope) he actually is not as dumb as he appears to be, by his stupid comments of beeing a good detective and stuff, like a little kid. But he's not really worth beeing mentioned here, I think.

- This may his first article but I've seen alot of HIS work show up here. But this information seems like it should be part of his user page. He may not know about the userpage.--Techiedavid 08:59, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- While The Misfit may not be a source of serious theories, he has become an integral part of the Lost community, therefore this page should stay. I’ll create a redirect and clean the article up a bit. Roccyraccoon 07:46, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
[1] Appears to have trolled Wikipedia also. Delete as vanity page, or move to a user page LOSTonthisdarnisland 10:28, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- I’m inclined to believe this user is an enthusiastic Misfit fan and not The Misfit himself. Roccyraccoon 07:48, 16 May 2006 (PDT)

Why this page is not deleted.
Occasionaly a fan would gain notoriety by him/herself. One example is Ghyslain Raza, otherwise known as 'The Star Wars Kid'. Or the lady who dances as Underdog, or Some of the Trekkies in the eponymous film. I have always defended the idea LOSTpedia is the place for everything LOST. We have a category for Fan sites and Fan created material and this kid, albeit annoying, falls in that category. I would love to have entries on Jason and Anna from the Delta Park Project. The Misfit is part of the LOST phenomenon and what he does is out of love to the series. I, for one, will visit his blog today. GodEmperorOfHell --13:45, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- Just visited his blog. This guy is certainly a dedicated LOST fan! albeit stark raving mad, I could never imagine there was a schoolbus on the island!!! GodEmperorOfHell --14:16, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- And he is probably the funniest "spoiler" source I've ever seen from any TV show... whether intentional or not...--Isotope23 07:53, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
- I agree with Roccy, this user is now engrained in the LOST community and there is not a spoiler site/forum that does not know of him. Also he is bloody hilarious.--Silent Hill 08:25, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
I think he's over the top and attempting parody, but I don't find his stuff really funny at all, it's kind of a snore. I added a NonCanon template to the top because he has no disclaimers that his site is a parody, and I deleted most of the self promotional crap he added to the page himself. --PandoraX 12:55, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
If you tell a joke is the forest and no one laughs, are you really funny? --GodEmperorOfHell 13:01, 15 August 2006 (PDT)

Theories section
Is this in any way necessary? This is a great example of what I would consider to be deletable under LostPedia:Theory policy...--Isotope23 07:13, 30 May 2006 (PDT)
Vanity Page
Can we lose this vanity page now? --Doc 06:38, 26 June 2006 (PDT)
I agree with all the other posts, this guy isn't funny at all, and it's a pure vanity page. Delete --PandoraX 12:31, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
He might be an annoyance and everything, but he has become a part of the LOST fandom, I have always stated that I want a page for every major fan, (where are the entries for Jason and Anna from the Delta Park Project?) To be honest i think it is unfair that sicko boy here is notorious while the admin of this wiki remains largely anonymous. Anyway, I say STRONG KEEP. --GodEmperorOfHell 12:39, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
analysis of spoilers?
His site isn't really meant as a serious spoiler site as much as just a collection of silly thories. I don't see why this page should be cluttered with these pointless lists. Let's get rid of them.
Revisionist History?
SilentHill just changed the analysis of the "Live Together, Die Alone" spoilers, deleting a bunch that were clear misses and marking others as hits (modifying the spoilers as needed). The "score" went from 8 misses & 2 hits to 3 misses & 6 hits. Is this a case of bringing the spoiler list into line with what was really predicted on another site, or revising the predictions to make ThEmIsFiTiShErE look more accurate? If the latter, then I can make a whole bunch of amazingly accurate predictions about seasons 1 & 2, post a nice article on this site (because I'm a huge fan of LOST), and provide a nice boost of traffic to my own website. --Doc 07:37, 7 July 2006 (PDT)
- I think I'll change back the analysis soon, since it appears that the wording was changed ONLY to make it seem like the 'spoilers' were 'correct'. Very weasely of the user who did that. It stood for weeks as it was before it was modified, and it appears that none of the original posts exist in any of the places he posted, so ultimately, it's quite deceptive. Radagast83 22:55, 25 July 2006 (PDT)
- Okay, I changed all the original wording back. Please, if anyone reads this, don't change what HE said, only change the analysis! Radagast83 13:53, 26 July 2006 (PDT)
Satire
I've readded some text that disappeared some edits back. I didn't track to see when and in what context it was removed. If there is a conflict of opinion, we can discuss it here in talk.
It's important to note that The Misfit is indeed satire, i.e. it is intentional satire, with intentional errors or examples of extremely over-reaching theories.
Other previous edits: good job to the editors who have been reworking the article; now there is an external links section (good), and good catch on the revisionism issue, and adding images. The content about his site traffic has been left out-- I can independent verify he does have enormous traffic compared to other blogs, but it's not really relevant for this article, so we can leave it out -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T13:14, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
I'm sorry Santa, but I just don't think we need this much redundant detail in the main article (it just reads like gibberish), all the examples are just more self promotion. I'll cut and paste it here in the talk section if people really want to discuss it, but in the main section there is already emphasis that his page is satire. --PandoraX 14:28, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
He also makes seemingly intentional errors in his text. These include spelling errors (e.g. "peice," "hipnotise"), errors of figures of speech (e.g. "Tell Tell Hearts"), and names (e.g. "Wolt," "Alvern Hamso," "Kevin") as well as combinations of the above (e.g. "Did Dr MAvin Candell LOSES his arm up the SHOOT!!", "I think I now KNOW how Howard Cartier the famous Egyptologist FELT when he uncovered Tutenkhamans graveyard in the Vally of the Queens!! I think THIS is an equally important discoverey!!", "THIS is what Edgar Allen Pole MUST have felt like after finish his STORY The Tell Tell Hearts!!"). He also makes other errors such mistaking the Kate action figure for Danielle. These errors are likely to be more efforts at trolling, since some readers do not interpret the errors as intentional, as indicated by the many corrections and insults in each article's comments thread.
Capitalisation...
This article to begin with is silly to begin with, but the capitalisation is especially ridiculous. You shouldn't have to think to read this jumbling mass of letters. I propose moving this page to TheMisfitIsHere.--Sloths 17:34, 11 February 2008 (PST)
- The article is here because this particular person was quite well listened to at one point during the shows lifetime, and gained almost a cult following in fandom. The lettering is such because this is how he personally signed off on things, so is accurate and doesn't need changing.
However, if you think others would benefit an alternative spelling you could always edit TheMisfitIsHere (and other spellings) and include:
#REDIRECT [[ThEmIsFiTiShErE]]
Which would then redirect the user to the correctly spelt page. Plkrtn talk contribs email 18:04, 11 February 2008 (PST)
- Personally I do not think anybody has ever typed this article name into the search box, but like me clicked on it from another page. My problem is not in searching for it, but just how impossible it is to read with its unconventional capitalisation. To me it looks like a random jumble of letters and I'm not sure I would ever know what it was supposed to say had I not read it here. --Sloths 22:14, 11 February 2008 (PST)
