Talk:Previously on Lost
From Lostpedia
"The saying has become infamous in its association with Lost, and many people ridicule it." Why would people ridicule it? The exact same phrase is used on a huge number of weekly hourlong shows. If there is really widespread ridicule of the phrase, cite an example. --Minderbinder 13:44, 26 September 2006 (PDT)
I couldn't quite think of the right word (ridicule), but the deep voice is often mocked, at least where I am in the UK. Perhaps it is very American, but the phrase (in such a tone) may not be as common here. People just impersonate it a lot. --The Smiley-Faced Balloon 09:10, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
- That's funny you say that, because my friend mocks it as well. "Previously on Lost", in a deep voice. --SilvaStorm
I'm in the UK and know many people who watch it, yet I never hear it mocked. After all there are several shows that do this
- Previously on Lost
- Previously on 24
- Previously on Battlestar Galactica
- Previously on The OC
are just a few that come to my mind. -- Plkrtn talk contribs email 01:03, 10 November 2006 (PST)

- Don't merge: It's unique enough to deserve it's own page, and is a key part of each Lost episode - why not? --SilvaStorm
- Don't merge: The previously ons do a lot to set up the episode, by highlighting which storylines will play into it. Imho, they're an important part of every episode that we've been overlooking... -BearDog 15:01, 9 November 2006 (PST)

- Don't merge It's a relatively defining aspect of the show, IMHO, and should be separated out. Not really appropr for the glossary, IMHO, because most people already know WHAT it is, they could come on this page for info on who does the voiceovers, etc. Not every short page deserves a merge, not all are stubs. --PandoraX 14:41, 12 November 2006 (PST)
- Don't Merge - Pandora presents a good point. -- Liz
Does anyone know what episodes haven't had this intro? I don't think there was one at the start of Expose. Somerandomnerd 15:25, 2 April 2007 (PDT)
- You're right, Exposé started in medias res with Nikki running through the jungle. I don't know if any other eps have done this, but a list would be interesting.--DharmaAndWreck 15:33, 2 April 2007 (PDT)
Well maybe I can start such a list:
- 101 - The Pilot
- 104 - Walkabout
- 105 - White Rabbit
- 107 - The Moth
- 109 - Solitary
- 112 - What Ever the Case May Be
- 117 - ...In Translation
- 122 - Born to Run
- 207 - The Other 48 Days
- 209 - What Kate Did
- 218 - Dave
- 310 - Tricia Tanaka Is Dead
- 314 - Exposé
Is "Previously on Lost" really said in the first season at all? Maybe its just the versions I have? Anyway I didn't include those from the first season which had recaps. -- Staffie 20 April 2007
