Language Banner
- On my moniter the banner advertising for the available languages goes on far off to the right. It goes out of the box and creates a horizontal scroll bar. This should be split into two lines for a more finished look. Netherlands is the first one to go out of the box on my browser. We don't all have huge monitors with high res. --nischwartz
- mine also bleeds off to the right (but without a horizontal scroll bar, so it's not accessible). It's also a messy Courier similar to the <pre> tag. This is on my win xp Firefox. It's messy to say the least. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T20:01, 30 August 2006 (PDT)
- I'm going to ind a way to fit it into the left hand side bar. --Admin 21:33, 30 August 2006 (PDT)
- Under the "Toolbox" you could add a "Other Languages" box. That would have a nice look. --nischwartz
- I've made a little Stylish code (for Firefox) that removes the box completely:
- @-moz-document domain(lostpedia.com) {div#siteNotice{display:none}}
- To add it click the Stylish button on the Firefox status bar (after you have downloaded Stylish from the link above), click "Create Style", paste the above code into the text area, and put a little description in the box above it, then click save.

That works! Thank you. I still think that a box on the left side would be really nice looking. --nischwartz
UK Portal
- I was looking at the language-specific Lostpedias here, and in essence they've also become their own portals. I was wondering if there was enough interest among editors to create a UK-specific portal for news and spoiler protection. Of course it would be a portal only rather than a separate subwiki. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T23:34, 2 September 2006 (PDT)
- I understand the issue of news and spoiler protection for UK users, but all we would do is be repeating information in English twice. I think it is a lot of work for very little reason personally. --plkrtn 09:29, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
- I just meant the portal, mainly for news & events only. That shouldn't be too much work and would only require one or two interested editors. But since such editors are likely to be spoiled, perhaps they wouldn't be motivated to maintain a nonspoiled portal. And it's not just about spoilers, it's about posting the "next broadcast of Lost" for the UK, etc. Just throwing the idea out there for you UK folks. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T15:22, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
- If it's possible to have just a new front page for UK users, I'd be happy to edit it and keep it up to date with next episodes, and make sure the main part remains spoiler free.

- Count me in too, but let me clarify here, what are you proposing? A box on the front page that shows UK upcoming stuff etc? Or a different front page completely that opens if you click "UK"??? --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:28, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
- Sorry I get you now! But where do you want the portal to be? In the top with the foreign languages bit? --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:30, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
- On my monitor/resolution, that wouldn't fit. I think maybe a little box could be added to the front page providing links to the alternate versions of Lostpedia, and with a UK link going to the UK front page. We could have one for Australia and any other English-speaking countries there are (is Canada on the same timeline as America?).

- I think thats a really good idea, and I'd definitely be committed to keeping it up-to-date. The only problem would be if Admin wanted to keep it protected as its a front page, cause then we wouldn't be able to touch it Chris (unless of course Admin started giving out SysOp privileges like sweets, which is definitely not a good idea). It'd have to remain unprotected, it seems the only option, and we'd just have to watch out for vandals --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:39, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
- I would prefer it if we could have a front page that is devoid of spoilers, the general news be available on the front page, along with US/UK/Australia airing, and maybe links to our own UK, US and Australian news sections. I think that would work far better. --plkrtn 03:06, 5 September 2006 (PDT)
- I was thinking about UK- protection too. I would be happy to help, but I don't want S3 spoiled. I don't think it would be possible to have a spoiler-free zone for the UK though. A UK Front page would be useful though. --The Smiley-Faced Balloon 09:03, 19 September 2006 (PDT)

This Week on LOST section
I've altered the this week on LOST section to refresh automatically, and change every Monday to show what is on this week in the US, UK and Australia. I've currently set it up to the end of 2006 with information we know about, but we will have to fill in the Season 3 information as and when we get it. --plkrtn 03:39, 5 September 2006 (PDT)
- I'm really not a big fan of the way this is implemented. Here's some suggestions:
- Use a template with variables (infobox-like) in order to reduce time on updates that should affect all pages.
- Protect the pages when created (items on the front page should be sysop edit only)
- Categorize the pages (so they can be more easily located)

AOTW
- Is there any interest for a 'recently featured' line at the bottom of the AOTW block? The line would feature short text links from the AOTW articles from the past two or three weeks. For example see WP. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T17:43, 9 September 2006 (PDT)
- If this can be automated easily, then go for it. I would be hesitant if it couldn't do this without lots of editing. --plkrtn 03:24, 11 September 2006 (PDT)
- Articles of the week get a gold star attached at the top. This uses Template:featured article and places them in Category:Featured Articles At most I think a link to this category should suffice. Also, there is already a link to the AOTW archive. -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 20:31, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
Wanted Countries of the week
- It might be time to rotate these countries; remove the ones that have been completed, and maybe even all of them to a new set.
- Also, there's something a little untidy about the Please Help Us Grow section, but I can't quite put my finger on it to give a constructive suggestion. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T23:57, 11 September 2006 (PDT)
- I'm working on translating the Portugese Lostpedia front page into English (purely through guess work I add, not language skills!). Its trying to sexify the site up a little and I think it looks absolutely fantastic. Take a look and let me know what you think. Go into my user area and then click on Playarea --plkrtn 04:59, 12 September 2006 (PDT)
Same line of questions
Did anyone else happen to catch that the questions Michael was being asked by Bea are the same exact questions the attorney asked Michael during his custody battle for Walt?
Million Hit Lowdown
On iTunes, there is a promotion with ABC that allows you to get Live Together, Die Alone for free. Only the first million people get this. Even if you dont have an iPod, you should get iTunes so you can get the episode for free. There is also the finales of Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. --Marik7772003 16:37, 15 September 2006 (PDT)
- Good catch. All you need to do is be on the new iTunes7 and search for "Live Together Die Alone" in the search to locate the free episode. -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 18:00, 15 September 2006 (PDT)
- It's also on the front page of the store. It's in the top left, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. --Marik7772003 21:54, 15 September 2006 (PDT)

LOSTpedia: The Lost and Found of Lost...
Perhaps under the UK section for "This week in LOST" add E4 under Channel 4? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ciaran (talk • contribs)18 September 2006.
This day in LOST
As we are about to hit the post-crash days (2 years after). I suggest on the main page we have "This day in Lost" box and display events that happened on the date in the show. --Blue eagle islander 01:25, 21 September 2006 (PDT)
- Wow that sounds like a lot of work! Have you seen the chronology articles? -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 08:28, 21 September 2006 (PDT)
DJ Dan Broadcast
Considering its supposed to be the end of TLE, does anyone else think there should be a note on the main page under "This Week on Lost" about the live broadcast? --NSHS07 17:58, 21 September 2006 (PDT)
- and so it was. -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 12:57, 22 September 2006 (PDT)
Since when is 8:00 Pacific the same as 5:00 Eastern? Shouldn't that be 11:00? --Joezoo 16:40, 24 September 2006 (PDT)
- And for that matter, why does the ABC website say it's at 8:00 pm PST? Do they mean PDT? --Joezoo 16:43, 24 September 2006 (PDT)
Update
The TLE box needs to be updated now that the game is finished --Blue eagle islander 22:50, 24 September 2006 (PDT)
LT, DA Rerun
...isn't going to be on. The geniuses over at ABC have decided to run Wife Swap in its place. Might as well update the page to keep the misinformation down....
- I'd rather have good old Lost :( Seems to me like ABC thinks Lost has been completely tanking during its lifespan the way they treat itLoki 16:06, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
- Ho, Cap'n, didn't think that you, of all people, liked Wife Swap. --Marik7772003 07:25, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
News item
- Is it just me, or is the link for "Lost actors ordered to keep clothes on" broken? I'll check the URL again in a few hours. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T17:07, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
Link Mistake!
For the main page Portal:Parodies link, it takes you to the List of videos available on YouTube page!? --SilvaStorm
Tale of Survival
- What the shit happened. It never came on. Instead it had Monica Coffman closeups, or crap as I like to call it. This seriously is mother f***in unacceptable. It makes me lose a lot of faith in ABC and LOST. So ABC I have two words for you... SUCK IT.--CaptainInsano 18:47, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
Yea, I saw mine just fine. But I do agree with ya....ABC is doing a real terrible job of handling such a great show. What area/state are you in? Loki 19:02, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
Yeah, where are you, Insano? It showed here, on schedule. (eastern US) --Shodan1138 19:22, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
No problems here in southern california... --CrystalSkull 14:39, 28 September 2006 (PDT)
