I have a wild guess that this is also the woman who dies under the knife of Jack's father in "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues"... Jack reluctantly defends his father to the hospital board at first, but after learning that the patient was pregnant, quickly revises his statements. I HIGHLY doubt that Gabriela was the one who died in that episode. Jack had feelings for her and that would surely have come up if Christian's incompetence killed her. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the dead girl and/or her husband become important later on.
