Evidence for Not Being A Station

I know everyone loves the 'crater-as-goblet' theory that apparently ties into the Apollo hatch-naming theory, but think about this: in the season one finale, the Lostaways show Rousseau the Swan hatch, and she says, "I've never seen anything like this!" If she knows of a different bunker (even if it doesn't actually have a hatch access) and even knows its name, why would she say this?

Of course, another possibility is, the "crater" reference in her notes was just an easter egg that someone added without really thinking of her dialogue... but I like to think the writers are more thorough than that.

One more idea to appease the die-hards: maybe her map was referring to an actual crater, and the nearby bunker (which she never saw) was titled accordingly. --Joezoo 05:36, 29 March 2006 (PST)

Hmmm... I don't know where you get the idea that the crater in Rousseau's map is referring to anything else than an actual crater. If she writes 'crater', it would come to reason she probably means a crater. No one ever said the crater was a station, but that doesn't mean whether there couldn't be a station inside the crater. --skks 10:53, 29 March 2006 (PST)

Okay, maybe it's just me. When I first heard the Apollo naming scheme theory, I assumed the "la cratere" notation meant she had actually found the hatch. (That idea was reinforced elsewhere on this wiki.) It was only when I watched a rerun of Exodus that I noticed how surprised she was at seeing the Swan hatch. (Honestly... there are, what, six hatches on the island, and she never found one in sixteen years?) But if no one else was under the impression that her Crater meant an actual hatch... my bad! --Joezoo 12:21, 29 March 2006 (PST)

The apollo/hatch naming theory has it's flaws too as there's more constellations in Apollo as just the six mentioned. But yeah, it's a possibility there's a hatch in the crater, and if the crater was formed by a meteor that caused the sickness and the magnetism and every crash since - It's even likely. But everything is very theoretical as usual. --skks 05:41, 30 March 2006 (PST)

Magnetic disturbance is not caused by meteorite

As you can read in the discussion page of The Discharge it is impossible that a meteorite could've been the cause of the electromagnetic anomalies... It would have to mean the meteorite brought a huge amount of magnetite in the earth, but meteorite's vaporize on collision, hardly leaving any original minerals... -- Bramme 14:42, 25 May 2006 (PDT)
