Very well written, good job. I might nominate this for article of the week. It's very high on my list. --image: kman.png       talk contribs                   12:05, 13 August 2006 (PDT)

The theory confuses me a little...is it basically highlighting the binary oppositions of the show Levi Strauss style? --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:08, 13 August 2006 (PDT)
Thanks for visiting, guys! Nick, it's basically emphasizing that duality is at the heart of all behavior, and the conversion of brain waves reflecting this code into other forms of physical energy (which explain paranormal phenomena on the show, including the Smoke Monster). May have gotten a little long winded in the middle and trim it down later, it's a theory I've kicked around since the middle of S2. I was not specifically referencing Levi-Strauss' work, though his influence in existentialist philosophy is hard to discount. Appreciate the feedback. --PandoraX 12:14, 13 August 2006 (PDT)
Don't rewrite anything on my account, its my feeble mind causing the question marks, not your writing --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:16, 13 August 2006 (PDT)

Isn't this "theory" just noting the duality of various aspects of human nature (and therefore LOST), and then making a vague connection to the binary number system (which is by necessity, dualistic)? I'm not disagreeing with anything in the article per se, but I find it hard to draw any relevant conclusions from it. I would expect a theory to explain how things are, to provide some basis for predictions of the future, and to be disprovable. (though I suppose this theory could be disproved by identifying important concepts in the show that are triune in nature or some such, but that'd be pretty subjective). Don't mean to step on toes or rain on parades or whatnot - just adding my $0.02 --Doc 11:24, 26 June 2008 (PDT)

the reduction of the numbers in a random fashion after reversing them to read 24 32 61 51 84 results in 6 5 5 6 4 by adding 2 and 4; then 3 and 2; deducting 1 from 6 and then adding it to 5 and deducting 4 from 8. This number for a commonly known bug; or system error in the linus program ubuntu which is a supercollider program. the bug reads on bugzilla's website; "requesting the ability to set the time before the process continues after and ewarn."
