Talk:Adam and Eve
From Lostpedia
If Adam and Eve are 50-60 years old they couldn't possibly be the DeGroots.--Tricksterson
- Not only that, but a freeze frame of the Others on the raft resemble the DeGroots -- isn't Zeke supposed to be Gerald DeGroot? --Amberjet11 11:43, 19 May 2006 (PDT)
Can you back up the claim that Adam and Eve are Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan? I was told that they were abucted by aliens and now live in the 24th Century on a planet in the Delta Quadrant.
Nope, that why I put it under Theories.--Tricksterson 09:23, 24 March 2006 (PST)
Okay, but a theory isn't completely baseless so what's your supporting evidence? I know I sound nitpicky and whatever but I'm actually really curious because its an awesome theory and I hope it true.
All circumstancial. They appear to have come from rouughly the same era, the show has skirted around with other famous dissapearees (Ambrose Nierce and Glenn Miller), they're a man and woman together but also apparently alone except for each other in the South Pacific. Mostly it's just gut feeling.--Tricksterson 07:31, 25 March 2006 (PST)

Pic
Could someone find or screencap a pic for this page? I don't just mean a nice pic of decaying corpses...maybe one of the items they find on them? --Nickb123 15:52, 3 June 2006 (PDT)
- Piccies added. Cappsy 09:00, 9 June 2006 (PDT)
- It seems that the piccies Cappsy added have since gone again. Could somebody cleverer than me restore them please? I'm particularly interested to see if there are any further clues in the pics to support the Desmond/Penny theory.--TechNic 13:37, 12 March 2007 (PDT)

Could This be Ben and Annie, or Jacob and ______ ?
A point of contention in the theories?
Now, being both Non-Jewish and Non-Mormon, I have no idea how to place a context on this theory. The main problem I have is that the article reads like an argument between two religious factions. Maybe the points raised (about wether the use of Urim and Thummim are theorized by Mormons or, a known part of Jewish tradition and history) are both correct, I don't know. I'm not a religious scholar, so I have no point of reference. Aside from this, the main body of text rambles a lot as if to justify itself about Judaic practises. And considering this is a theories section, the author of this piece has not even provided a thoery, just a reference to a website that has nothing to do with Lost. Does anyone know how to nominate for a cleanup? -- BlahDeBlahblah 03:31, 3 July 2006 (PDT)
- Neither the Old and New Testament describes what the Urim and Thummim look like and how they are were used. Therefore, I believe we need to carefully state where the descriptions came from, (e.g., Jewish traditions, Jewish scriptures, Mormon traditions, mormon scriptures or simply a book of fiction or some one's imagination.) In fact, references to the sources would be best (including references to various scriptures)--Kaekae 06:49, 16 February 2008 (PST)
Stones
Any thoughts to what kind of stones they are? I'm guessing quartz or moonstone (white) and onyx (black). Fairly common collectable stones, which figure in certain mysticisms. More or less, quartz is "power" and onyx is "defense". - GoodRom 10:14, 8 December 2006 (PST)
Clothing, outfits
From what I can tell, they seem to be wearing what look like white scrubs? If there are any other photographs of Adam and Eve? Anyone else have a say? -Kilgore Trout
Someone mentioned that Adam and Eve were wearing Dharma Initiative jumpsuits, but I don't remember that from the show and the pic here doesn't show enough of the clothes to confirm that. Does anyone else know if this was true?
Not In Portland easter egg
the producers said that the episode Not in Portland have a clue that connects with adam and eve, the only clues are mittelos (lost time) and the backwards voice(only fools get enslaved by time and space) so maybe Adam and Eve are characters from the show who didn't get enslaved by time and space and lost the time--Shalaulakh 12:15, 15 February 2007 (PST)
Instead of the criptic Time traveling clues, Perhaps its got a more litteral meaing, that Desmond Lost the Time he would of had with Penny (presuming he won the race and got it together with penny), this would also explain the stones we saw in Desmond's flash back. The criptic time traveling part would be that they traveled back in time together to spend a life together, and thus died in the caves together --Hit and miss 10:35, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
Further Talk on Desmond/Penny being the Skeletons
I dunno if this is true or not, but I heard somewhere that the two stones found by the skeletons are shown somewhere in Penny's apartment in the episode Flashes Before Your Eyes. This could possible mean that the two skeletons could indeed be Desmond and Penny, especially with the whole theme of 'Lost Time'. Anyone agree/disagree? Sorry I have no proof to back this up.. WallnutBoy|talk|contributions 17:00, 8 March 2007 (PST)
- There are definitely two stones on a table in Desmond's apartment. Whether it's a legitimate link between Desmond/penny and Adam & Eve has yet to be revealed. --Jackdavinci 19:11, 12 March 2007 (PDT)
I just checked the scene that is supposed to show the stones on the table in Desmond/Penny's flat, on a very large monitor in HD it is clear that these "stones" are in fact just the bottle caps that came from the empty beer/Guiness bottles on the floor around Desmond.--Lenvegas 16:21, 28 March 2007 (PDT)
- These are absolutely only two bottle caps. See, the stones are unevenly round like pebbles from a river and the objects on the table are flat and circular like two big buttons. You can even see the differences in the pictures below. I will change the article accordingly. --Roger 06:19, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
Question
Since I do not have a recorded version of the episode with Adam and Eve, I cannot check this: is it shown how many fingers do the have? (in reference to the Statue) BeŻet 06:05, 11 March 2007 (PDT)
Another Anagram
Edmund Burke anagrams to BUNKER MURDER. (Mind you, LOST TIME seems much nicer, but I thought this was interesting)--Foggy 08:34, 8 April 2007 (PDT)
- No it doesn't. BUNKER MURDER contains 3 "R"'s while Edmund Burke only contains 1 "R". Also, Edmund Burke contains 2 "D"'s, and i'm pretty sure you need to use both of them. Nice try though :)--Baker1000 08:48, 23 May 2007 (PDT)
Paulo Coelho
As a Brazilian, I feel that it is unfair to simply describe him as a "writer". He is a con man. A successful one, but a con man all the same. Luis Dantas 17:29, 23 July 2007 (PDT)
