- A possible connection with the title: Raised by Another = Raised by an other. Aaron may be taken by the Others later on. Or, if Kate does have Claire's Aaron (and not a child of her own named Aaron), perhaps she has made alliances to the Others, similar to Sayid.
- Due to universal course correction ("Flashes Before Your Eyes"), Malkin’s vision becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy – his attempts to prevent Aaron being raised by another, or an other, is what brings about his being in contact with the others. Therefore, the unhappiness Malkin mentions must also happen. At some point, Aaron will be ‘raised by the others’ with bad consequences and, as with Walt, he will be allowed to leave or sent from the island. Jack’s off-island reluctance to see Aaron is a parallel with the reluctance by the others to be around Walt when at the Hydra (Room 23).
- Malkin is Ms. Hawking from "Flashes Before Your Eyes" in a different form.
