Theories may be removed if ...
  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

  • When Jack regains counsiousness, he has just been through Orchid-traveling. The openning scene of Pilot, Part 1 is very similar to that of The Shape of Things to Come. Both Jack and Ben wake up, shaken, dressed up in a way that contrasts with their environment: Jack in a suit surrounded by nature and Ben in a parka in the middle of the desert.
  • In addition to the theory that Jack has just been through Orchid-traveling, it's interesting to note that an Expandable Club like the one Ben carries in The Shape Of Things To Come appears to be lying above Jack's left shoulder, underneath the green bamboo branch. (viewer's right).
  • Jack was not the only survivor to land in the jungle. Other survivors also landed there. Jack just happens to be the last to revive and join the others on the beach.
  • The Monster killed the pilot because he was supposed to die in the plane crash, or simply wasn't supposed to be on the island.
  • The Monster tried to kill Kate and Charlie because they were bad people (murderer, drug addict respectively).
  • The Monster could kill Jack but didn't do it because he was a good person.
