O-Missions is a term for any mission in which a strike team was sent by the Others, E.G.:
An O-Mission is beginning.
What’s an O-Mission
The O-Missions are the equivalent of the Losties' A-Missions. Unlike the A-Missions, the label "O-Missions" is simply a fan name, and was not explicitly referenced in Lost. However, Juliet's O-mission to infiltrate the Losties is actually referenced as an 'operation' ("Operation: Sleeper"). Also unlike the A-Missions, the O-Missions are generally not central to the architecture of the development of the Lost storyline, and may be instead interpreted as reactions in the form of direct responses to the A-Missions.
Originally, participants of an O-mission were just the strike team. The rest of the Others have had a part in the O-Missions one time or another, usually commanded by Ben or another high ranked member.
| Picture
| Name
| Status
| Role
| Overview
|
|
| Ben
| Captured
| Leader
| Ben is second in charge of the Others and has organized every mission bar one. He has, however, only been on one mission himself though.
|
|
| Richard Alpert
| Alive
| Semi-leader
| Richard is the acting head of the Others, although he has only been on one mission. Since Ben's capture, Juliet's defection, and the deaths of many of the Others, Richard is seen as one of the few 'real' Others that remain.
|
|
| Juliet Burke
| Defected to the Losties
| Doctor, semi-leader
| Juliet used to have a strong role in the Others' society, until her defection to the Losties. She has been on three missions to date and played a leadership role in all of them.
|
|
| Tom
| Dead
| Semi-leader
| Tom is seen as the ground leader of the Others. He has been on the most missions and leads the team on the ground. He died in a raid on the Losties camp.
|
|
| Ethan Rom
| Dead
| Surgeon
| Ethan participated in two missions before his death, inflicted by Charlie. These missions were both very important to the plotline of the show.
|
|
| Goodwin Stanhope
| Dead
| Unknown
| Like Ethan, Goodwin only participated in two missions. He too, was murdered, the murderer being Ana-Lucia.
|
|
| Danny Pickett
| Dead
| Guard
| Pickett had an interesting role. He participated in most missions, but appeared usually to be more of a hindrance than an important player. He was shot and killed by Juliet prior to her defection.
