  • The company is owned or partly-owned by Hanso Foundation executive Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk.
  • More likely used by the Others as a front organization in their war against the "bad guys", that is the Hanso Foundation - DHARMA founder - and the Widmore Corporation.
    • However, the bus who killed Juliet's husband belonged to Hanso-owned Apollo Candy Bar, suggesting an alliance between Mittelos Bioscience and the Hanso Foundation. The latter may be allied to Ben in his war against Widmore.
  • This is a front organization for the DHARMA Initiative or The Others.
  • The Others use this front organization for business conducted in the real world.
  • It doesn't exist, and is just a ploy to get Juliet on the island, considering the location is "remote" and Ethan is involved.
    • Unlikely, since the company has existed since at least 1950.
  • Though they are remiscient of DHARMA logos, this logo depicts hexagons, not octogons.
  • Hexagons are frequently used for bioscientific research company logos. They denote aromatic rings in molecular bio, a common organic chemistry structure.
  • Mittelos = Mott isle. The Mittelos bioscence is located in the Mott Island into the International Biosphere Reserve[1]. This isle is very close to the Mittelwerk isle. Is owned or partly-owned by Hanso Foundation executive Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk
  • Mittelos is a play on "operating system" (the Mittel OS), serving as a logistics (or recruitment) branch, or one specifically handling medical personnel.
