Let's be honest... the current LostPedia logo sucks!

We need a new logo for the LostPedia site. LostPedia is growing quickly and I know there are visitors far more talented with Photoshop than I am. I'd like to announce the LostPedia Logo Contest. If you'd like to help, please consider submitting a logo. We will vote on the best logo and the winner will receive a prize.

Status Update: There are two reasons why there's not a winner yet. a) I've been in the process of moving and haven't had access to a computer. b) 90% of the entries included images not owned by the designers, which basically makes them unusable.

I'm going to extend the deadline until Friday, Nov. 18th. A winner will be chosen that weekend. Reminder, Logos must not contain copyrighted works (ie: photos that you don't own). If you have any feedback on this, please discuss it on the talk page. --Admin 10:32, 13 November 2005 (PST)

Rules

  1. Contest starts now. Friday, October 14, 2005
  2. The contest will be open until November 18, 2005 (we may extend if we have less than 10 logos)
  3. You must design the logo yourself
  4. You must not infringe on other's intellectual property (NO COPYRIGHTED PHOTOS)
  5. The dimensions should be 150x150
  6. Logo should be in jpg, gif or png format
  7. It should have a transparent background
  8. Create a LostPedia Account or log in
  9. Name your logo logo_yourusername.gif
  10. Upload your logo
  11. Add your logo entry to the bottom of this page
  12. The winning logo will become property of LostPedia

Wordcooper has an excellent point. His is also on either a transparent or white background. I don't know if that LOST image qualifies as "fair use". I hoped that there would be several original ideas. I'm going to give the contest some thought and see if I can come up with a solution.
