Synopsis
Flashback
Elliott is with Lisa in Thailand around August 15, 2004. Take a picture of Lisa with her arm on her hip with the fisherman in the picture. This will trigger Elliott remembering that he was taking photos in Thailand for the travel section of a newspaper. You then look at three objects. The first is a newspaper that details the theft of "nerve agent" from a Hanso foundation facility in Sabaragamuwa province, Sri Lanka on August 8, 2004.
'NERVE AGENT STOLEN FROM HANSO LABS – 8 Aug 2004. Sri Lankan Police have confirmed the theft of a chemical nerve agent from Hanso Foundation Labs in Sabaragamuwa province. An unnamed Hanso Security Analyst has assured the missing chemicals pose no threat, “The danger is negligible as the chemicals in question will break down within hours outside the lab environment.”'
The second is Lisa's diary which has entries for August 15th and August 16th 2004 giving details of the vacation and her investigation of Savo.
'KOH TAO, THAILAND --- SUNDAY August 15th, 2004---I called Australia today. Savo’s made a critical error and Rico’s found out. Rico has a way of digging up the dirt. I’m meeting him at his disgusting little pawn shop. ---MONDAY---I was surprised with a beautiful beaded necklace this afternoon. Very romantic. He’s doing everything right on this vacation. Not like Venice!'
The final one is a tape of Lisa saying that she intends to keep her investigation of Savo secret from Elliot.
'[WOMAN’S VOICE states she’s close to finding a man named Savo. She’s following him to Australia and she’s keeping this news secret from her lover.]'
Lisa (who speaks Thai) tricks the fisherman so they can steal his boat. She tells him a story about a woman in trouble and he runs to help.
On the Island
Jack, Kate and Charlie arrive at the beach running from the monster after their visit to the cockpit. Kate suggests that your camera might be there but that Jack is not allowing anyone to leave the beach. After talking to Jack, Lisa appears on the beach. Attempting to talk to Lisa triggers a flashback.
Scattered along the beach in this episode you can find:
A comic book on the far end.
'A Spanish comic book. I can’t understand a word. I hope I didn’t forget how to speak Spanish.'
A chessboard by the fuselage.
‘Chess. I remember the rules, but I can’t remember ever playing. Weird.’
A Drive Shaft CD along the jungle line near the fuselage, among a pile of luggage and debris.
'Drive Shaft. “You All Everybody…” I can remember that song but I can’t recall my own name.'
Elliott tells Jack that Claire has fainted and Jack stops guarding the jungle. Elliott runs into the jungle to find the front section wreckage. He meets Locke near the banyan trees. After Elliott talks to Locke, whispers can be heard in the jungle. Elliott follows a trail of wreckage. One of the Others shoots at Elliott from a tree and is killed by the monster. The monster ignores Elliott unless Elliott runs right into it (which is fatal). Elliott finds Michael gathering wood for a raft in the jungle and Michael tells him that the cockpit can be reached through a cave. Michael also gives him a lighter to see with.
Trade whatever you have to Michael for torches. Get two or three. You can use the lighter for the first section of the cave. Follow the wall to the first light spot in the cave. If you get caught in the dark without light, the monster will eventually get you. Follow the wall again to the second light spot in the cave. There is a bat-filled tunnel on the right side. If you have a torch, put it out before going through the short tunnel.
The monster is in the next section of caves. There are also pits on either side of the cave entrance. Look down as you enter to avoid them. Use the torch in this next cave. Its possible to do it with the lighter, but not easy. There are waterfalls that will put out the torch. If it goes out, relight it or the monster will attack. The cave is really long and difficult to describe. But at the very end, there will be a tunnel full of bats leading to an exit.
Enter the front section. There is an electric panel and you will need to find fuses. There is a broken panel with a large supply of fuses next to the working panel. Get the fuses. An example of a solution to the fuse problem is:
- Top row: empty, empty
- Middle Row: 4-way, 4-way, 4-way
- Lower Row: two-way (up and right), three-way (no connection down)
After the panel is activated, the container holding the camera will be open and you can get the camera. After you have the camera, go back to the fuse panel and pull out all the fuses (you will need them eventually).
After leaving the front section, you will encounter Ben and Juliet. Tom will come up behind Elliott and knock him out. Juliet will then inject Elliott with something and he passes out.
Trivia
