At Lostpedia, we thrive due to our community spirit and peer editing, so much so that we have arguably become one of the most successful Lost websites on the net. In order to ever perfect the site, we use templates such as {{rewrite}} or {{cleanup}}. However, it is difficult to keep track of all of the tasks going on, and so this page is an attempt to clarify current hot topics, and areas that members can get involved in if they aren't busy with any other projects.
Below is a list of jobs which anyone is invited to get involved in. Thank you for all your hardwork at Lostpedia, and we hope this page will continue to raise the bar on our standard. Happy editing!

Jobs
 | A number of character pages currently need rewriting. The hope is that an eloquent writer can turn all the bullet points into legible and chronological prose. For a model example, see the newly designed Jack article. Go to Category:Rewrite and show off your literary prowess! |
 | The following articles are very overwritten and contradictory. They require a user with exceptional ability to reformat and reword paragraphs, but also with the perfect balance and skill to appreciate that some details are irrelevant or too minute. It is recommended that a user who understands Lostpedia's style well should get involved in this task. See Category:Cleanup and get those editing skills ready! |
 | Stubs will always be a job, as Lostpedia currently has hundreds of articles that can be expanded. Someone with patience and a sound knowledge of the show is required, and also anyone willing to do a little outside research into, for instance, guest actors.  | These articles are in need of an image or two adding. See Category:PictureNeeded for a list of pages that need better presentation. Someone with good screencapture skills, and the drive to seek out that perfect image would be great for this job. |

Short-term / "One-off" jobs
- Find and add crossreferences, which look like {{crossref|#x##}} to unreferenced items on the Religion and ideologies article (change cross-references in mid prose into small footnotes at the end of paragraphs).
- If anyone knows where the following birthyear is known from (which episode they are referenced in directly, or backdated from a reference to how old the character is), please add as a crossref to article: Timeline:pre-crash

Long-term / "Generic" jobs
- Update all Infobox templates to use new format that uses parser functions. See Template:Infobox Guest star for an example of the new format. Please contact Jabberwock talk contribs email - if you have any questions.
- Remove galleries from the bottom of pages to comply with fair use guidelines. When you remove the gallery, place {{Galleryfairuse}} in the place where the gallery was, and attempt to slot the pics in the article, where appropriate. Note that this is not necessary for image galleries relating to internet released materials (i.e. many Lost Experience galleries are allowed).
- Periodically go through the 200+ actors and actresses in the Category:Guest_stars and make sure the new ones are categorized by last name (add [[Category:Guest star|Lastname, Firstname]] to the bottom).
- Wherever you see an episode wikified like a regular link (i.e. "[[Do No Harm]]" ), replace it with the new episode template tags (i.e. {{ep|1x20}} ).
- Help transcribe Official Lost Podcasts that have not been transcribed yet. Warning: This is a very time consuming task. For a fast typer, estimate 2-3 hours per podcast, if done accurately, but will lend your name in small print to the top of the transcript page. Must also be done with uniform format, as seen in Official Lost Podcast transcript/May 26, 2006 (also see that page's nav-template at the top for episodes already transcribed). See talk page for detailed instructions & tips.
- Change present to past tenses, when describing events that have happenED in the show. To describe a character, you can say "Jack is a doctor" but say "Jack tried to save Boone". This is especially prevalent on Character pages and Episode pages, but even in themed pages as well.
- Go through Season 1 and early Season 2 episodes and fill in some of the missing easter eggs for "Cultural references" and "Themes" trivia (using the examples from recent episodes such as "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead"). Do not add speculative connections to the main article.
- Airdates - Update Lost airdates, see Talk:Airdates#JOB_LIST_FOR_THIS_PAGE for specific areas that need researching
- Add proper licensing information for these unclassified images.
- Go to CGI List and add examples of CGI in Lost.
- Music - see Talk:Music#ARTICLE_TASK_LIST for missing information to find, as well as songs to identify.
