Jeremy Davies plays the role of Daniel Faraday in Season 4.
Background
Davies was born on October 10, 1969 in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of a children's book author. He got his first film role in an episode of the television sitcom Singer & Sons, in 1990. Two years later, he appeared in two episodes of the show The Wonder Years. He played various small roles from there, mostly in television projects that were short-lived. He was then cast in a Subaru commercial, which was noticed by many casting directors. He was sent many film scripts, but the first he chose was for the film Twister, a 1994 film which also starred Sean Whalen, (who has appeared on Lost as Frogurt). However, his biggest turning point in acting was when he starred as Cpl. Timothy P Upham in 1998's Saving Private Ryan, a critically acclaimed film. This propelled him into many other films, such as Solaris. In one of his films, The Million Dollar Hotel, his character was attracted to a woman named Eloise. Davies' Lost character Faraday is also linked to an Eloise. He has also appeared alongside Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) in the film The Laramie Project.
