Hunter is an unseen Oceanic Airlines employee briefly mentioned in the dialog of "Exodus, Part 2".
When Hurley implores Jenna (a gate attendant) to let him on the plane, she picks up the phone and says "Hunter, this is Jenna, we've got one more...ta". Hurley is subsequently allowed on the plane.
Given normal procedures, Hunter must be somebody who is watching over the entrance to the plane from the inside out. He is probably a flight attendant, or even the purser. It is possible that he is the same person as the male flight attendant.
