A large number and variety of weapons have been used on the Island. This article serves as a catalog of significant weapons, types, and amounts on the Island.
From Flight 815
Pistols
- A SIG-Sauer P228, Edward Mars' sidearm ("Pilot, Part 2")
- Was found by Sawyer and used to kill the first polar bear ("Pilot, Part 2")
- Sawyer later used it to unsuccessfully euthanize the marshal ("Pilot, Part 2")
- The contents of the Halliburton case (see below) ("Whatever the Case May Be")
Miscellaneous
- Locke's suitcase full of knives ("Walkabout")
- A machete carried by Sawyer while hunting a boar ("Outlaws")
- An axe, presumably on the plane for emergency purposes ("House of the Rising Sun")
From the Halliburton case
- In the Halliburton case were four pistols, along with several boxes of 9mm ammunition ("Whatever the Case May Be")
- One Beretta M92F
- One SIG-Sauer P226
- One Walther PPK
- Commonly known as "James Bond's gun"
- Oddly, despite the ammunition present, this gun has never been produced in a 9mm format
- One STAR B, or Colt M1911 9mm, that was later replaced by a second Beretta M92F
From Danielle Rousseau
- Two rifles
- A self-made crossbow ("One of Them")
From the drug smugglers' plane
- A Glock 19 pistol found by Boone and Locke on the dead Nigerian drug smuggler ("Deus Ex Machina")
- A flare gun that was later used by the second raft's crew used to unsuccessfully call for help ("Exodus, Part 2")

Initially, there were many weapons and boxes of ammunition in the gun vault: ("Orientation")
Rifles
- Four AK-47 assault rifles (USSR, 1955)
- Two type 4B (with a folding stock)
- Two type 2A
- A Ruger M77 bolt-action rifle used by Michael
- Later surrendered to the Others ("Three Minutes")
- At least one Dragunov sniper rifle
- Missing from the counter in "Three Minutes"
- A Heckler & Koch G3SG/1
- Missing from the counter in "Three Minutes"
- A Soviet-made SKS rifle carried by Sayid at the end of Season 2 and through a large part of Season 3 ("Live Together, Die Alone")
- One SKS rifle is visible in the armory during Season 2, but in that season's special features DVD, two of them are in the armory during Swan tour (Secrets from the Hatch)
- A Remington 700 hunting rifle
- Missing from the counter in "Three Minutes"
Shotguns
- A Winchester model 1912
- A Remington model 1100 that Desmond had on the sailboat.
- One 12-guage pump-action shotgun
- Used by Kate to injure Desmond in the Swan following his capture of Locke and Jack ("Orientation")
Pistols
- At least one Glock 17
- At least two TT-33 pistols, post-WW2 model (USSR, 1945-51)
- At least three Colt M1911 pistols
- At least one Berreta M92F
- Used by Michael to kill Ana Lucia and Libby ("Two for the Road")
- Later surrendered to Ben ("Two for the Road")
- At least two Makarov PM pistols (USSR, 1947-49)
- One Mauser K98
- Missing from the counter in "Three Minutes")
- One Bulgarian-made Arsenal Makarov PM handgun carried by Desmond ("Live Together, Die Alone")

- Metal crates typically used to hold grenades ("Three Minutes")
From The Looking Glass
- A M1 Carbine used by Greta ("Through the Looking Glass")
- A Walther P38/P1 used by Bonnie ("Through the Looking Glass")
- A spear gun was found in one of the station's lockers by Desmond and used to injure Mikhail ("Through the Looking Glass")
From the mass grave
- A Smith & Wesson model 10 revolver found by Locke on a DHARMA worker's corpse that he used to unsuccessfully attempt suicide ("Through the Looking Glass")
- Used by Locke to threaten Jack and unsuccessfully shoot the satellite phone ("Through the Looking Glass")
From the Kahana
- At least two Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns used by Keamy and Omar as they practice skeet shooting ("Meet Kevin Johnson")
- Multiple M4 carbines with accessories used by the mercenaries ("The Shape of Things to Come")
- At least one SIG-Sauer P226 used by Keamy to kill Alex ("The Shape of Things to Come")
- Two Colt M1911 handguns carried by Daniel and Miles ("Confirmed Dead")
- Multiple LAW rocket launchers, such as the one fired at Claire's house and those being carried by the mercenaries on the return trip to the Island ("The Shape of Things to Come")
- The mercenary team used a large amount of C4 to destroy the Kahana. ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
- Keamy was killed by his own knife. ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
- A flare gun found on Naomi that Hurley accidentally fired and Desmond used to threaten Mikhail ("D.O.C.")

- One AK-47 assault rifle surrendered by Jack ("The Hunting Party")
- A Winchester model 70 bolt-action rifle used by Aldo ("Not in Portland")
- Possibly the same one that Danny Pickett had at the quarry ("The Glass Ballerina")
- A Ruger M77 bolt-action rifle surrendered by Michael ("Three Minutes")
- Three SKS semi-automatic rifles discovered by Jack in the Hydra's weapons locker ("I Do")
- A Benelli R1 semiautomatic hunting rifle used by Ivan ("Not in Portland")
- A Mosin-Nagant rifle used by Mikhail Bakunin ("Enter 77")
- Multiple SKS rifles and AK-47s carried by the Others immediately after the gas attack on the Barracks ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
- Multiple bolt action rifles used by Olivia and others ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
- Multiple rifles of unknown makes, possibly M14s or M1s, carried by Others when they surrounded Kate and Sayid ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")
- These rifles were also used during the helicopter battle with the mercenaries to lay down suppressive fire ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")

- The Others on boat that intercepted the raft had at least one pistol of an unknown type used to shoot Sawyer ("Exodus, Part 2")
- Two 9mm P-38 used by Danny and Tom ("Three Minutes")
- Danny is seen with a SIG-Sauer P228 ("I Do")
- Several Walther P38/P1 pistols discovered by Jack in the Hydra's weapons locker ("I Do")
- Two Beretta M92F pistols Danny and Jason ("Not in Portland")
- Richard Alpert is wearing a holster for a Luger P-08 when he meets young Ben ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
- This weapon, or a very similar one, was later used by Alpert to shoot Keamy during the helicopter battle ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
- Multiple Beretta M92Fs carried by the Others immediately after the gas attack on the Barracks("The Man Behind the Curtain")
Explosives
- Molotov cocktail-type weapon used to destroy the raft ("Exodus, Part 2")
- A Mk 2 fragmentation hand grenade used by Mikhail Bakunin to blow out a porthole in The Looking Glass ("Through the Looking Glass")
- Another grenade was thrown at the mercenaries and killed Omar ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
Chemical weapons
- Multiple "ALSG272 Continuous Discharge, Smoke Grenade, CS" gas canister devices used to cover their departure from the Barracks ("Left Behind")
- While the ALSG272 is a real device, it is a "tear gas" weapon whose standard contents could not be responsible for the effects seen in the episode unless the original gas was replaced.
- The ALSG272 is only designed for outdoor use. Deploying it within buildings, as shown in the episode, would create a substantial risk of fire. See also:'Lost' fans look for clues
Mikhail's Mk 2 fragmentation hand grenade. ("Through the Looking Glass")
- Toxic gas used by the Hostiles during the Purge to kill the DHARMA staff on the Island ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
- The gas grenade used for the prop is a repainted "ALSG272 Continuous Discharge, Smoke Grenade, CS" ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
Nonlethal weapons
- Stun darts were used on Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. ("Live Together, Die Alone") The darts administer an incapacitating electrical shock.
- They were also used lethally in the helicopter battle against the mercenaries ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
- Tasers were used by Danny and the Others at the runway. ("The Glass Ballerina")
Miscellaneous
- A telescopic baton routinely used by Ben ("Every Man for Himself") ("The Shape of Things to Come") ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")
- A slingshot routinely used by Alex ("I Do") ("Not in Portland")
Natural or constructed weapons
- Rousseau's traps
- Mr. Eko's stick ("Orientation")
- A machete constructed by Mr. Eko out of a part of the plane ("The Other 48 Days")
- Ana Lucia's boomerang-tipped stick-spear ("The Other 48 Days")
- Probably made by Eko, as he gave another one to Jin ("Abandoned")
- These were constructed using boomerangs that washed ashore in a deleted scene ("The Other 48 Days")
- Cindy's pickaxe-like weapon ("The Other 48 Days")
- Also constructed using boomerangs that washed up on the shore in a deleted scene ("The Other 48 Days")
- Ana Lucia's spear-like walking stick she used to kill Goodwin ("The Other 48 Days")
- Locke's improvised flamethrower, constructed from a torch and hairspray, that he used to fend-off the polar bear while rescuing Eko ("Further Instructions")
- Rocks
- Kate threw rocks at Sawyer when he was following her. ("Whatever the Case May Be")
- Mr. Eko and Ana Lucia both used rocks when attacked by the Others) ("The Other 48 Days")
- Ethan's sling, used against Jin ("Homecoming")
- Tom's bolas ("The Hunting Party")
Trivia
Production notes
- Most of the guns in the Swan station are of Eastern/Soviet bloc make.
Bloopers and continuity errors
- Due to production mistakes, the specific makes, models, and amounts of weapons featured on the show have accidentally changed multiple times. This makes full accounting of the weapons very difficult to manage.
