  • The gulls are actually part of Dharma's zoology projects and were not, in fact, migrating.
    • They are affected by the magnetic anomaly on the island so do not migrate correctly.
  • We will see the gull with the message attached to its leg again, just like the message bottle.
  • Penelope will find the gull, and will use it to help her find the Island.
  • The hospital TV in Claire's mother's room showing flying geese in "Par Avion" was a scene from the feature film Winged Migration
    • Although geese are clearly not gulls, gulls were also shown in the feature film.
