- Frank's "errand" on the island was to bring Keamy and Omar there to kill Rousseau and Karl and kidnap Alex.
- Fate has "some kind of course correction" which led Frank to the island, where he now is going to die.
- Frank will die, because all the other characters that arrived on the helicopters were credited as main cast, while Fahey is only a guest.
- Damon and Carlton say that cast status has no bearing on character role. Michael has been stated as main cast all season but has not appeared. So, although Frank may die, his cast status will not have a bearing on it.
- Was replaced by Seth Norris because he was known to be an alcoholic.
- More specifically, perhaps, because he turned up drunk on September 22nd and therefore was barred from the cockpit.
- And the idea of having been able to do something to prevent the disaster (he seems quite self-confident of not having crashed the helicopter, so he might think he could have done better than Norris as the pilot of Oceanic 815) made him obsessed about the victims of the disaster, he kept reading the passenger's list over and over to the point of memorizing it. However, he is not very impressed or excited when he meets some of the survivors, but he might already know they were alive and that the plane found was a set-up.
- Confirmed in Meet Kevin Johnson

- Due to his call to Oceanic Airlines, and the awareness of a cover-up, Matthew Abaddon recruited him.
- His injuries occurred while the helicopter was flipping around in turbulence, so they happened before he landed the helicopter. Or possibly after landing he was dizzy and fell upon or after exiting the helicopter.
- He is a psychic with minor abilities just like all the members of his team and Walt have some psychic abilities yet to be explored.
- He has a mysterious connection to the properties of the island which allows him to be an incredible pilot (he himself doesn't even realize this). Thus, he was the only one who could successfully get a plane to and from the island (with Daniel's help). Matthew Abaddon was aware of this connection, which is why he recruited him.
- The reason why Frank isn't excited to see the survivors is because from his perspective they're not out of the woods yet. Frank looks upon Sayid and Desmond in much the same way a child would look at a dying bird. He wants to help the castaways, but deep down he fears he can do nothing but ease their suffering. He thinks they're already as good as dead.
- Knows 'Kevin Johnson' is Michael Dawson, as evidenced by the distinct look he gave him on his departure.
- He is one of freighter's "good people".
