- ++ - flashforwards.
- * - episode features more than one character's flashbacks.
Notes
This tally is of major, character-centric flashbacks which take place over the space of an episode of LOST.
- Does not include the events of "The Other 48 Days", as there are no distinct flashbacks.
- Clip shows are disregarded, because they do not contain any new information.
- Nikki & Paulo and Rose & Bernard are grouped together, to avoid repetition of information.
- Flashbacks of Shannon & Boone, and Jin & Sun are not grouped together, because they are, for the most part, character-centric, unlike "S.O.S.".
- The episode "Flashes Before Your Eyes" included past events in the form of a "Déjà vu" which was unlike previous flashbacks.
