Theories may be removed if ...
  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

The Pearl Station

  • Telling other survivors about finding the Pearl and the plane would bring questions from the other survivors about why they were wandering so far out in the jungle that they obviously didn't want to answer. And Paulo did not tell anyone about Ben and Juliet because he didn't want anyone to know he'd been in the Pearl, as that was where he hid the diamonds.
  • Ben and Juliet intentionally left the walkie-talkie for Paulo.

Diamonds

  • Sawyer will go back to retrieve the diamonds.
    • It would be impossible to find diamonds scattered in the sand.

Spiders

  • The three spiders that bit Nikki were actually manifestations of the Monster. There was a monster sound effect immediately before they appeared.
    • Damon Lindelof confirmed in a podcast that the spider (presumably the first one) was a manifestation of the Monster. Whether the others were or not is unclear.

The Island

  • Arzt says that he has found many undiscovered species. This coincides with other theories that the isolated island has undergone a completely different evolutionary pattern (i.e. four toed foot statue).

Miscellaneous

  • Sawyer was affected by being in Room 23 because he did the "right thing" by giving the diamonds first to Sun and then by dumping them out of the sack and into the grave.
  • The reference in the TV show-within-a-show to Mr. LaShade really being "The Cobra" is foreshadowing that the true leader of the Others is actually a prominent Lostie.
