Theories may be removed if ...
  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

  • Dexter Stratton was on the Black Rock when it crashed.
    • He was rebellious like Charlie in the 1st season, tried to convince mutiny.
    • He is the supposed slave tied with shackles in the lowest floor of the Brig, near the dynamite.
      • The Black Rock disappeared in 1881. Assuming about 25 years between generations (Charlie born '75, Megan Pace '50s, Megan's mother/father mid '20s, Dexter Stratton 1880s at the earliest), Dexter Stratton could not have been on the Black Rock AND have been around to father Megan's mother/father. The only exception to this is if Dexter, Megan's parents or Megan herself had children after their 20s which is unlikely.
        • It is highly likely. Plenty of people have children in their thirties and even forties.
  • He was the musician that was referred to by Bonnie in the Looking Glass station that programmed the jamming system's deactivation sequence.
    • However, this is very unlikely, as above. Unless Dexter was very long lived he would not have had ability in that kind of technology or knowledge of the Beach Boys.
  • Dexter Stratton is still alive, living under an assumed name. He lived on the island and at some point later escaped the island. Due to the time dilation, he could still be alive somewhere, perhaps even a character we've met.
