Edward Mars

Barbara Joanna Miller
"White Rabbit" "White Rabbit" Joanna died after getting caught in a riptide during a morning swim. Both Boone and Jack made attempts to save her. She may have died because Jack decided to first rescue Boone. Janelle suspected foul play, remarking that "It just doesn't make sense. She was smarter than that - she knew about the rip tides and how to swim parallel to the beach." Day 6
Unnamed Other
"The Other 48 Days" "The Other 48 Days" On Day 12, the Others attacked the tail survivors camp for a second time, abducting nine survivors. This woman tackled Ana Lucia when she tried to stop the Others from taking Zack and Emma. Ana Lucia grabbed a rock, and struck the Other on the head, killing her. Day 12
Nathan
"The Other 48 Days" "The Other 48 Days" Nathan was originally imprisoned by Ana Lucia due to suspicion that he was 'one of them'. He was fed by Mr. Eko and tortured by Ana Lucia, who was completely convinced that he was guilty. He was released by Goodwin late one night, and was then suddenly killed by Goodwin snapping his neck, probably as to stop himself getting discovered. Day 23
Goodwin
"The Other 48 Days" "The Other 48 Days" Goodwin and Ana Lucia go on a hike to test the radio find by the tail section survivors. They reach a point an stop, to rest. Ana Lucia knows Goodwin is one of them and the tries to get information from him. The two start to fight and as Goodwin throws Ana Lucia down the hill, she elevates a sort of spear she made earlier and impales Goodwin. Day 27
Scott Jackson
"Pilot, Part 1" "Homecoming" When Claire escaped from the Others in the Staff Station, Ethan demanded than she be returned or else he would kill one survivor each day. The survivors decided to set up sentry posts. Unfortunately, somehow the Others were able to go around that device, and break every bone in Scott Jackson's body. He was discovered by Janelle Granger on Day 29. Day 28
Ethan Rom
"Solitary" "Homecoming" Ethan was the Other responsible for infiltrating the fuselage survivors and also kidnapping Claire Littleton. He succeeded in both of these tasks, but then had to bring Claire to the Staff station. When she escaped, Ethan attacked Jack and said he would kill a survivor each day until Claire was returned. The survivors decided to use Claire as bait in a trap to capture Ethan. Unfortunately, as soon as he was captured, he was shot four times and killed by Charlie Pace. Day 29
Boone Carlyle
"Pilot, Part 1" "Do No Harm" Boone Carlyle, step-brother of Shannon Rutherford, was asked by Locke to climb into the beechcraft plane to see what was inside. Boone found some drugs stashed in the plane as well as a radio. He used this to send a message to what he thought was the outside world. In reality it was the tail section survivor Bernard Nadler. Despite warnings from Locke to get out of the plane, Boone stayed inside and suffered many internal injuries in the fall. Despite Jack's best efforts, Boone succumbed to his injuries. Day 42
Dr. Leslie Arzt
"Born to Run" "Exodus, Part 2" Leslie Arzt was a ninth grade science teacher with a supposed knowledge of science. On the Island he found about 20 new species, claiming he would be regarded as the next Charles Darwin. On the first mission he went on, he was blown up by unstable dynamite. After his death, Nikki took his insects and kept them in her tent. She later used the medusa spider to paralyze Paulo. Day 44
Shannon Rutherford
"Pilot, Part 1" "Abandoned"Shannon Rutherford, step-sister of Boone Carlyle, became close to Sayid Jarrah on the Island. One night, Sayid takes her to a tent he had constructed, where the pair made love. Sayid left and said he would be back soon. Shannon turned away, then looked up and saw Walt and chased him out of the tent and into the jungle. Sayid saw, and followed her. As they fall into an embrace, Sayid looks up to see Walt, again dripping wet and this time putting his finger to his lips and saying, "Shhh." Shannon goes after him into the jungle. It takes a moment for Sayid to get to her, a gunshot is heard and Shannon stumbles out of the jungle with a bullet hole in her stomach. The tail section survivors are seen standing, shocked, behind Ana Lucia, who is holding a smoking gun. Day 48
Ana Lucia Cortez
"Adrift" "Two for the Road" In the Swan Station, Ana Lucia gives Henry Gale a knife and instructs him to free himself. He does, and she points a gun at him. Later, she is shown sitting morosely. Michael talks with her; she tells him about Henry, about how he tried to kill her, and how she couldn't bring herself to kill him. Michael offers to do the job for her, and she gives him the gun. Michael looks at the gun somberly, says, "I'm sorry", to which Ana Lucia replies "For what?". Michael then shoots Ana Lucia, killing her. Day 64
Libby
"Adrift" "?" After Michael shoots Ana Lucia, Libby walks in, holding blankets for the picnic with Hurley; Michael, startled, shoots her through the blankets, and she collapses, it is unclear if she's alive or dead. Michael then opens the door to "Henry's" cell. Henry stands and the two exchange meaningful glances; Michael deliberately shoots himself in the shoulder. Later, Kate checks Ana Lucia for a pulse and tells Jack that she is dead. Libby however coughs up a mouthful of blood, and Jack rushes to treat her. She quickly enters into a state of shock. Fear crosses Michael's face; if Libby lives, she may reveal that it was Michael who shot them. Jack gives Libby heroin, to ease her pain. Eventually, Libby succumbs to her injuries, but not before muttering the word "Michael". Day 65

Colleen and five other Others silently board the sailboat, that has only Sun on board. Sun appears from the darkness and warns Colleen that she will shoot her. Colleen says she won't shoot her. The boat jerks, Sun panicks and shoot Colleen. Sun then gets off the boat, leaving a startled Colleen in the cabin. Colleen is brought to the Hydra station, where Jack and Juliet try to save her, but cannot. Day 70
Mr. Eko
"Adrift" "The Cost of Living" Sitting by the Beechcraft pondering the crucifix, Eko sees Yemi standing at the edge of the ? clearing. Yemi then turns and vanishes into the jungle. Eko assents and shows Yemi the crucifix. An angry-looking Yemi replies, "You speak to me as if I were your brother!" Inferring that this apparition of Yemi isn't actually his brother, Eko asks, "Who are you?" But 'Yemi' turns away and vanishes into the jungle. Eko follows, repeating, "Who are you?" The smoke Monster darts in between the trees, distracting Eko with its sounds. Soon, Eko is confronted by a huge mass of black smoke. Backing away, Eko shows awareness (but little fear) of his imminent doom by reciting the 23rd Psalm. An arm of smoke reaches out, grabs Eko and smashes him against a tree. The "Monster" slams Eko against tree trunk after tree trunk, before finally lifting him high into the air and throwing him violently down to the ground, killing him. Day 72
Danny Pickett

Ivan, who was sent by Juliet to hunt down Kate and Sawyer, find the two conscious again and yelling for someone to let them out. Once they were let out the three of them ran after Kate and Sawyer quickly catching them on the beach. Once again they fail to capture the two and quickly lose their trail as Sawyer and Kate are hidden in a hole by Alex. Pickett, Ivan and Jason head out in the jungle in the wrong direction. Pickett later finds Aldo and seems to be angry at him for letting Kate, Sawyer and Alex in the building to rescue Karl. Pickett ignores Juliet's commands to let the three of them go and sets off to find them. He later finds Alex, helping Kate and Sawyer into a boat along with a semi-conscious Karl, and prepares to shoot Sawyer. All of a sudden, Juliet appeared, calling his name. Upon entering the basement, Sayid and Kate spread out and whilst searching through a rack of DHARMA Initiative uniforms, Bea leapt out and pounced on Kate. After a short scuffle, in which Bea had the upperhand, Sayid arrived, stopped the fight and held Bea at gun-point. Once Kate had time to recover from the ambush, she recognized Bea from Pala Ferry as one of the Others who had been involved in her kidnapping and with this realization proceeded to punch her twice in the face. After this, Sayid and Kate ascended to the upper level of the Flame with Bea as a hostage. They met Mikhail who was holding Locke as a hostage and during the confrontation, Bea began shouting to Mikhail in fluent Russian and towards the end of their conversation Bea demanded for him to "do it". He shot and apparently killed her. Day 79

After being bitten, Paulo collapses, but he confesses that he had kept the diamonds hidden from her because he feared that Nikki would leave him if she had the diamonds, because he believes she would have no further use fo him. Almost immediately after this, a chattering sound is heard, and a group of the Medusa spiders swarm Nikki, and one bites her on the ankle as well. She runs away and desperately buries the diamonds before she rushes to the beach, where she collapses in front of Hurley and Sawyer. As she falls to the floor, she mutters, paralyzed. Having misheard Nikki's last words, the survivors believe the little known couple are dead, and bury them alive. Day 81
