The Cove is a shoreline location seen in several scenes of Lost. Its geology is a classic example of solidified lava streams, thus indicating the island's volcanic origins.
- The tail section and raft group follow the shore of the Island to the main section camp, but a decision is made that this will take too long. With Sawyer's life at stake, Eko makes the decision for the group to risk crossing through the center of the Island, despite their fear of the Others. ("Abandoned")
- The same scene is seen again as a flashback. ("The Other 48 Days")
- Kelvin removes his HAZMAT suit and goes to this location, where he has secretly stashed the Elizabeth. Desmond follows him, and furious that he's been lied to for years, bashes his head against a rock, apparently killing him accidentally. ("Live Together, Die Alone")
- The Cove can be seen when Ben told Juliet that her sister had cancer again. ("One of Us")
- The Cove can be seen when Jack, Kate, and Daniel meet Miles. ("Confirmed Dead")

- These scenes were filmed at Lana'i Lookout coastline near Hanauma Bay.
- Dann Seki, who played one of Hurley's doctors, filmed a scene here at Lana'i Lookout for the NBC show Hawaii (Honolulu Star-Bulletin)
- Desmond's shoreline gull capture ("Par Avion") scene was filmed at a different although similar-looking location, specifically Oahu's Ka Iwi coastline.
