Coast

The coasts of the island are rocky, alternating with white sandy beaches.

• Lava-formed coastlines are apparent in the following episodes:

1. "Exodus, Part 1": As the party hikes toward the Black Rock with Arzt and Danielle Rousseau.
2. "Exodus, Part 2": As the party returns from the Black Rock.
3. "Abandoned": As the tailies are walking along the coast to the other side of the island. This is the cove.
4. "The Other 48 Days": As the tailies continue their trek. This is the cove.
5. "Live Together, Die Alone": As Desmond follows Kelvin discovers his sailboat The Elizabeth.
6. "Par Avion": Where Claire follows Desmond as he finds a gull
7. "One of Us": Where Juliet find out that her sister is still alive
8. "Through the Looking Glass": Where Jack leads the Losties on the way to the Radio tower. This coastline is the same as seen in "Exodus, Part 1" and "Exodus, Part 2" (above).

• Sandy coastlines are apparent in the following episodes

1. Midsection Beach is the location for the main camp Islandtown, in many episodes
2. "A Tale of Two Cities": The white sandy beach where Ben has brunch with a handcuffed Kate
