Working with Others/Dharma Initiative Theory
- Cindy is really a Dharma Initiative worker and she helped plan the Plane crash and she was merely returning home when the plane crashed. She stayed in the tailies camp untill she knew that it was safe to leave (she may have been told by Goodwin).
- On the flight, she gives a highly potent rum to Jack, which Jack mixes in with his yellow drink. She smiles at him and notes that it is highly illegal. At the time of consumption, Jack begins to feel the turbulence. In many ways, this is reminiscent of the time Richard Alpert told Juliet that the highly potent drink is necessary. He says that the ride would be "very rough" or bumpy, if she wasn't strapped into the sub as well. ("Pilot, Part 1")
- Kate is also seen to be drinking some orange 'juice' on the flight as seen in the early flashbacks.
- Kate left her Handcuffs in the jungle and was not seen in the opening wreckage scene. This indicates that she, like Jack, woke up in the jungle. Apart from Bernhard of the tail-section group, they are the only two we can deduce came to in the jungle. They were also the only two seen drinking before the crash.
- In The Other Woman, Juliet mentions to Ben they 'have everybody from the list'. Cindy was still with the tailies then.
Miscellaneous
- The whispers were present after she was taken. Of course she didn't initiate them any more than anyone else did, as they have been present to many of the survivors without her being around.
- The scene from Stranger in a Strange Land was a hallucination of Jack's
- Unlikely, since Jack didn't know the children before, and was not aware of their rapt by the Others.
- She was brainwashed in Room 23 after being taken by the Others. This would explain her disconcerting behavior outside the cage.
- Her statement about how she wound up with the others being not that simple was her way of not quite confessing that she was a DHARMA plant.
- Her 'silent abduction' by the Others didn't exist; she merely returned to them of her own accord.
- Did not work out that Goodwin was an Other, and continued to help portray Nathan as a potential mole as she was in league and working with the former.
- If the theory that Libby was a Dharma mole is also to be considered true, it could perhaps be considered that she and Cindy were working together, and intended to meet up with Goodwin at the crash site of the tail-end.
- She may well be pregnant, as she seems to be clutching her stomach after the crash. It would make sense that the Others captured her, if this is true.
- She is working for the Others, distracting the Tailies from the truth about Goodwin by telling them Nathan was not on the plane when it crashed.
- She will be given her own flashback episode in Season 4, detailing her time from when she went missing in Abandoned and her time spent with the Others.
- Possible, but now with the arrival of a new force (Freighters) upon the island, there may be deviation away from the Others travelling with Alpert (which include Cindy). Perhaps a flashback episode covering several character segments may be more likely, much like the five self contained character flashbacks seen in Confirmed Dead
