How do you completely delete an article? --SilvaStorm 02:34, 3 July 2006 (PDT)

You can't, we nominate and vote for them (recommending) but only a Sysop can actually delete something --Nickb123 (Talk) 02:37, 3 July 2006 (PDT)
A Sysop? Please fill me in. --SilvaStorm 06:18, 4 July 2006 (PDT)
A Sysop is a higher power on lostpedia. They can delete pages, ban users, etc. Here is a list--CaptainInsano

The trash can is a nice touch! As well as the roll over text. Who doesn't love Strongbad! --Kericanfly 12:20, 19 July 2006 (PDT)

Marked for Deletion vs Orphaned

On the Special:Lonelypages page, it states that Lostpedia:Links_to_protected_deleted_pages are here so they don't show in the Orphaned list. But I noticed that pages that have been marked for deletion [[1]] still show as Orphaned. Examples: Jacket/Theories and Sea_Urchin. Is there a way to correct this or is it intentional? Unused images

This is a general statement for nearly all of the proposed images. I don't see why images should be deleted just because they're unused. They could be used later, and I believe LP doesn't have any issues regarding memory atm. --Blueeagleislander 22:10, 2 July 2008 (PDT)

I thought it would save server memory. That's why I've been nomming so many for deletion. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  22:15, 2 July 2008 (PDT)
  • No, bandwidth is the cost hog by far, not storage space. Therefore storage space should not be the justification for image cleanup. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 00:04, 3 July 2008 (PDT)
