  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.

Naomi

  • Naomi is a HALO skydiver (High Altitude, Low Opening)[1] and didn't "escape" from an aircraft, but inserted from an aircraft at a high enough altitude that the Island shouldn't have caused it to crash. The mask and outfit on Naomi appear consistent with gear worn by HALO jumpers. She may have jumped from the same aircraft that dropped the cargo pallet in "Lockdown", which flew too high for any of the survivors to spot it when it went by overhead to deliver supplies.

The Helicopter

Main article: Helicopter/Theories

The helicopter crashed because

  • It ran out of Fuel.
  • of the Islands magnetic properties.
  • The Others shot it down.
  • The team of Hurley, Desmond, Jin, and Charlie were witnessing the crash of the Oceanic 6 chopper from There's No Place Like Home from the future because of the time loop.
  • The helicopter didn't crash, it dropped a sonar beacon into the water.
    • The obsolete non-working beacon must be disconnected and the new one shall be connected to have it function

It came to the Island because

  • The helicopter was going to the coordinates that Mathias and Henrik received when they picked up the signal at the end of the last season.

Time on and off the Island

Main article: Time/Theories
  • The photograph on Brother Campbell's desk, showing him alongside Ms. Hawking, indicates that he, too, plays a role in monitoring and steering Desmond along a desired timeline toward his destiny on the Island: entering the Numbers in the Hatch.
    • Brother Campbell's well timed "firing" of Desmond (right when Penny happens to stop by) seems to reinforce this theory.
    • Brother Campbell's comments about Desmond's great destiny lying elsewhere is similar to comments made by Ms. Hawking, when she intervened in Desmond's life.
