Background

Williams is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Performing Arts.
His first big break came in 1971 with the film Brian's Song, for which he received an Emmy nomination.
He is arguably most famous for his role as Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars movies: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
He is also well known for his appearances in advertisements for the liquor brand Colt .45.
He played District Attorney Harvey Dent in the movie Batman.
